Donovan County Executive Board of Chosen Freeholders Bergen County Department of Parks Ronald Kistner, Director Bergen County Zoological Park Marianne Vella, Director 216 Forest Avenue Paramus, New Jersey (201) 262-3771 ext. 125 Meets every Second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm This free club is designed for any Bergen County Citizens or Bergen County Zoo Members who wish to learn about and possibly get involved with ecology and conservation issues in Bergen County. There is no age limit, although children under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. Members will learn about ways in which they can interact with nature as well as ways they can help nature through Citizen Science programs and projects. This club will meet the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Meetings will last approximately 1 hour and will be held in the Bergen County Zoo Education Center or Van Saun Park. Some trips may be scheduled at other times to areas within Bergen County. 2013 September 11, 2013 October 9, 2013 November 13, 2013 December 11, 2013 2014 January 8, 2014 February 12, 2014 March 12, 2014 April 9, 2014 This group will be led by several Earth enthusiasts: the Education staff of the Bergen County Zoo, Zoo Docents (including an amateur bird watcher), and guest speakers. The group is intended to bring out the scientist in us all. This free program does not require pre-registration and is for nature lovers of all ages who either live in Bergen County or are Members of the Bergen County Zoo. To join the group simply show up at the Bergen County Zoo gate at 6:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month (see schedule). Members of the club will be asked to leave contact information so club information may be sent, this information will not be shared with any third parties. Members do not need to attend all meetings and can be removed from the Bergen County Zoo Membership Roster at anytime upon request. Membership in this club does not constitute membership to the Bergen County Zoo in any way. The group will meet at the Bergen County Zoo entrance gate and will either enter the zoo and meet in the Education Center or journey into the park. Group meetings will end at the Bergen County Zoo entrance gate at approximately 7:30. Some trips may be scheduled at other times to areas within Bergen County. Our first meeting will include a walk, please dress for the weather and bring binoculars and anything else you may need for a 45 minute walk. Not all meetings will include walking in Van Saun Park. Most important, bring your curiosity about nature and a willingness to get involved!
