Welcome to Fashion For Action 2010
Welcome to Fashion For Action 2010 Welcome to the seventh annual Fashion for Action VIP sale and benefit event. This high-profile four-day fundraiser benefits Housing Works’ network of health care centers located throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Fashion for Action 2010 marks Housing Works’ 20th year of providing lifesaving services to homeless and low income men and women living with HIV/AIDS. Two decades ago, Housing Works emerged from the powerful social movement ACT UP. We remain committed to our founding principles: relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services and the development of entrepreneurial businesses that sustain their mission. This year’s event features an exclusive dinner on Monday, November 15, at MTV and a special VIP opening night reception on Thursday, November 18, at the Rubin Museum of Art. Join Diane von Furstenburg, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Theory and other leading designers and retailers by donating men’s and women’s apparel, accessories and beauty items to be featured and sold as part of Fashion for Action 2010. With a chain of high-end thrift shops and high profile events such as Fashion for Action, Housing Works has the unique ability to turn fashion into lifesaving services for those in need. Together our combined donations will help Housing Works reach the goal of 16,500 units and make this year’s event the most successful Fashion for Action ever!
