History
Aviation Material and Technical Support (AVMATS) was one of the pioneers in providing alternatives for the
support and maintenance of corporate aircraft. In response to customer requests for improved parts availability
and more reasonably priced proprietary items, we set out to develop independent sources. Today’s competitive
parts pricing and conditional choices enjoyed by corporate operators can be largely attributed to AVMATS’
unwillingness to accept the status quo of the industry.
A.C. “Butch” Giessman formed Centurion Investments, Inc. in 1978. The company established itself as a source
for surplus aircraft parts under the name Aviation Material and Technical Support (AVMATS). AVMATS was
a pioneer in the concept of purchasing and dismantling airworthy and undamaged corporate aircraft to support
the existing fleet of Sabreliners.
Fueled by overwhelming customer acceptance, the years following 1978 produced enormous product diversity
and geographical expansion. Accessory and component overhaul capabilities were added with the creation of
Corpair Supply Company (now AVMATS Component Support) Support of the Dassault Falcon 20, Lockheed
Jetstar, and Raytheon Hawker 125 were included. Also, we received FAA certification for the overhaul of Rohr
Thrust Reversers.
AVMATS (Aviation Maintenance & Technical Support) In the late 1980s, four hangars and shop facilities
were constructed at Spirit of St. Louis Airport to accommodate expansion into maintenance and structural repair
services for the Sabreliner, Falcon, Hawker, Beechjet and Cessna Conquest aircraft. We added a full complement
of avionics parts and installation sales along with the construction and certification of a fully equipped, state of
the art instrument shop. Our shop began installing avionics upgrades including ELT, EGPWS, RVSM, and TCAS.
We have established dealerships with all of the major avionics manufacturers. Additionally, we have received
a group certification STC for the installation of RVSM in the Sabre 65, Falcon 10 and Falcon 20. AVMATS is
an Authorized Honeywell Line Service Center for the TFE731 and CFE738 engines as well as the GTCP30-92,
GTCP36-6 and GTCP36-100/150 APUs. We also have capabilities on the Pratt & Whitney JT12 and JT15D and
GE CF700 Engines as well as the Sundstrand T-62T-39 and T-62T-40C Series APUs.

History
Another major milestone in offering alternative aircraft service and support was reached in 1991/1992 when
Aviation Turbines Incorporated (now AVMATS Engine Support) was formed. ATI has received FAA certification
for Pratt & Whitney JT12 and JT15D engine overhaul and the conditional inspection and repair of the Sundstrand
T-62T-39 and T-62T-40C Series APUs. In addition, ATI offers a full lineup of services for the General Electric
CF700 and CJ610 engines and Honeywell GTCP 30/36 APUs.
AVMATS Europe - AVMATS expanded internationally with the addition of a facility in Bournemouth, England.
The facility in the UK provides APU service & rotable parts support to Europe, Africa, and Asia.
AVMATS MidAmerica - The latest expansion for AVMATS was to MidAmerica Airport (BLV) in Mascoutah, IL with
the development of a 27,000 square foot FBO. At this facility, AVMATS offers full FBO services and performs
maintenance on corporate aircraft. The new corporate terminal offers a pilots lounge, planning area with WSI
radar and a computer with Internet access. MidAmerica Airport offers the luxury of a 10,000 ft runway, very light
traffic since it is outside the Lambert - St. Louis traffic pattern, and the efficient response of AVMATS personnel
to provide the quickest possible turnaround.
To date, the AVMATS family of companies occupies more than ten acres, at four physical locations, supporting
46,000 square feet of hangar and attached shops, over 100,000 square feet of warehouse facilities, 20,000
square feet of dedicated component and accessory overhaul space and 42,000 square feet of engine and APU
shop space. At these locations, we employ just over 235 people.
Resources have been dedicated to staffing AVMATS & its Family of Companies’ shops with industry leading
technicians, skilled and experienced in the repair and overhaul of various engine and flight instruments and aircraft
as well as airframe and nacelle structure.
After more than 30 years in business, AVMATS remains an American family-owned and operated business
dedicated to providing best value and top notch service to our customers.

Leading Edge Skins
When leading edge skin replacement is the only or
best option, consider the AVMATS option.
In conjunction with Georgian Aerospace Group,
we develop repairs to fabricate new upper and
lower skins for the inboard and outboard leading
edge assemblies. We mill new skins based on digital
scans of actual skins. Our seasoned technicians
then roll and precision fit each skin to the leading
edge assembly. Our capabilities allow fabrication
of un-spliced leading edge skins up to fifteen (15)
feet in length.
For skins with TKS panels we remove the existing
panels and will reinstall the original or replacement
TKS panels once the new skin is complete.

Gulfstream, Hawker, or Falcon, when it comes to Main Entry Door
repair, AVMATS is the solution. Entry doors can be extraordinarily
complicated pieces of engineering. Often time an apparent simple
repair is in fact a far more involved process than may be expected.

facility located near St. Louis, Missouri. With our domestic mobile response team and our United Kingdom

Capabilities and Services
AVMATS Engine Support provides full service MRO support for Turbine and APU engines. Our facilities are
organized to expedite every project while maintaining our rigorous quality standards. Eight separate work
units or areas exist to process each phase of engine service: Assembly, Testing, Accessory, Balance, Coatings,
Engineering, Machining, Shipping/Receiving.
Assembly
AVMATS Engine Support Assembly Area is composed of separate
dedicated product line work areas. Each respective work area is
equipped with dedicated project specific storage and shadowtooling areas. Within this area the full engine or APU is assembled.
Testing
AVMATS Engine Support Non-Destuctive Testing shop provides Level II and III NAS410 compliant
Magnetic Particle, Ultrasound, Eddy Current, and Fluorescent Penetrant testing. Additionally, AVMATS
Engine Support operates both Axial Flow and Turbo-Shaft test cells. Our Axial Flow test cell thrust bed
can accept up to 10,000 pounds thrust. This cell is correlated with the products we overhaul such as Pratt
& Whitney America, Pratt & Whitney Canada, and General Electric. Our Turbo-Shaft test cell dynamometer can operate up to 120 shaft horse power, and can
accept a larger dynamo-meter with no performance loss.
This cell is configured to satisfy the requirements of the
Sundstrand and Honeywell APU’s. Both of our test cells
are equipped with computer data acquisition systems
to correct to specified standard day and record test/
performance data.

Engine Accessories
Engine Support Accessory Area or Shop provides MRO services
to a number of engine and APU accessories. We currently offer
full support of fuel control units, fuel pumps, fuel heaters,
fuel nozzles, oil pumps, scavenge pumps, oil coolers, anti ice
valves, flow dividers, motive flow valves, and bleed valves.
Our testing capabilities include controllable constant
simultaneous flow, pressure, or temperature variables
across a range of specific condition simulations.
Our accessories testing support is tailored to
the specific manufacturer requirements for
respective unit.
Engine Balance
Engine Support Balance Area is equipped to provide blade weighting, mapping, and installation in addition
to static balancing of disc sets and dynamic balancing of completed compressor and turbine assemblies.
We’re capable of balancing parts from 6” to 45” in diameter and 9 to 21 compressor stages. Finally, our high
speed grinder is capable of grinding each stage of compressor with up to a 4 degree angle.
Coatings and Heat Treatment
Engine Support Coatings Area is equipped to apply Cadmium,
HVOF, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, and Sermatel coatings. Painting
and coating services are offered within environmentalhumidity-controlled booths. Additionally, we offer 500° - 2,400°
F computer controlled and monitored Argon or Atmosphere
Heat Treatment in seven simultaneously operated ovens.

Engineering
Engine Support has developed many, and offers development service of, engineering repairs
for high driver defective part issues on products supported by AVMATS. We develop
repair and fabrication methods and certify these methods through our partner
Designated Engineering Representative (DER) to address defective issues. In the
end this process allows us to better control the turn time and cost of a repair
which can be passed along to our customers. By developing these repairs we
have reduced the customers cost to overhaul or repair their engines and have
increased the quality of the end product.
Machining and Welding
AVMATS Engine Support Machining Area or Shop provides full, dedicated
aerospace machining services. With in-house three dimensional
scanning and CAD services, we are able rapid prototype, produce,
reproduce a wide variety of parts and tooling. This shop
is equipped with five (5) Vertical CNC/Manual Mills, five
(5) CNC/Manual Lathes, and four (4) Internal/External
Grinders. Moreover, we are equipped to provide certified
MIG, TIG, and Gas welding of Aluminum, Magnesium,
Stainless, Hastelloy, Steel, or Iconel in an environmental
controlled chamber to reduce distortion.
Shipping, Receiving, and Stock Room
ATI Shipping department is composed of separate dedicated shipping, receiving and stock room areas.
Positive quality control efforts begin here with incoming inspections on parts and materials processed
through this department. Our stock room stocks certified, approved and traceable parts/materials in a
secure and inventoried area. Furthermore, we secure defective or rejected parts/materials in quarantine
cages to ensure appropriate confinement of these items.
Mobile Response Team
Engine Support is now offering a Mobile Response Team to better serve our JT15D customers. We have a
vehicle that is equipped with all the tooling required by Pratt & Whitney Canada to perform the following
services on JT15D series engines:

Established in 1978, Corpair Supply Company,
Inc. (now AVMATS Component Support) was
the first repair station in the AVMATS Family
of Companies. We provide a full range of
services for accessories & components at our
dedicated 20,000 square foot temperature
controlled facility located in O’Fallon, Missouri.
We specialize in corporate and military aircraft
accessories with a focus on the Falcon, Hawker,
Sabreliner and Beechjet aircraft .
AVMATS Component Support is located at the
same facility as AVMATS Parts Support which
allows us to use the large inventory of overhaul
exchange components on site that can, in many
instances, provide you overnight replacement
when downtime is critical. If your schedule
permits, you also have the option of having
your component or shelf spare overhauled
or repaired by our FAA/EASA-Certified Repair
Station. Either way, AVMATS Component
Support stands behind every valve, motor,
instrument or actuator, ensuring you the highest
standard in quality and workmanship.
All components are overhauled using factory
specifications, rigid quality control techniques
and exacting process specifications. The extra
effort and added detail of a Corpair overhaul
means you get worry-free components.
The AVMATS difference

Our experienced purchasing staff is very resourceful at
finding all available sources for new and new surplus
parts. We have developed over 75 repair processes to
solve issues with piece parts for your component caused
by general wear, out-of-production parts or excessive
lead times. In addition, we will often search for a core or
serviceable-as-removed components that can be disassembled and “parted out” in order to inspect and utilize the
internal parts that are not readily available. These are just
a few innovative solutions designed to keep lead times
and costs to a minimum.
As an added benefit to our customers, AVMATS Parts
Support is housed in the same facility and offers access
to over 100,000 line items in inventory as well as a significant rotable pool. We offer quick turn service on customer
property sent to our shops and can, in many instances,
offer exchange for the cost of repair or overhaul.
