Reduce, Reuse, And Recycle!
The Youth Ed. Program is seeking clear containers for
the reorganization of its materials. We are gladly accepting clear containers with and without the lids
so clean-out your cabinets! Reduce the number of unmatched pieces in your home, let us do the
reusing, and trust we will recycle any unused items! Donations may be left in the bookstore. Much

Unity’s Holistic Healing Center Tower Restoration
Project at Unity Village!
For more than 80 years, the Tower at Unity Village has graced
the skyline southeast of Kansas City with its iconic presence,
earning a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
In 2011 Unity received an extraordinary $3 million gift to fund
exterior and structural repairs to the Tower. Upon completion, the restored Tower will house
a new Holistic Healing Center, providing complementary and alternative medical treatments,
programs and services.
You are invited to be part of this momentous chapter in our history with your donation to the
project.

Reproductive Justice Task Force Presentation
You are invited to a presentation by the Reproductive Justice Task Force on Saturday,
November 17, 2012, 9a-noon at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington 2120 North
Fee Lane.

“GRATITUDE! A Sound Celebration
with Janiece Jaffe and Friends”

Come experience the transcendent sounds of singing bowls and
the uniquely angelic voice of Janiece Jaffe in this
improvisational, multi-media production celebrating the spirit
of Thanksgiving. Floor space will be available for settling in
with your own cushion and blanket, or you may choose one of
the theater’s comfortable seats.

Unity offers practical, spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living. Through Unity,
we are committed to becoming more conscious in every area of our lives. Because this is the season
when we think about gifts – those for which we are thankful, as well as those we intend to give to others
– please take a moment to reflect on the gifts of Unity.
First, remember everything you receive when you enter the space created by and for our spiritual
commUnity: the welcoming smiles, the joyful songs, the practical guidance and the loving meditations.
There is a reason you invest your time, talent and treasure here. Your return is immediate and
enduring. Think of the strength and power flowing through our circle at the end of each service. Think
of how often song lyrics come to mind throughout the week, reminding you that you’re in the right
place, at the right time, centering you within Spirit. Think of the bonds of friendship you form as you join
together to explore and discover your spiritual path in the many classes and study groups you attend.
Think about the energy and the fun generated during our annual Fall Faith Celebration.
Unity provides a quiet place in the midst of a busy world, a safe place where you can progress at your
own speed on your spiritual path. Unity remains constant and will be here as your spiritual investment
continues to grow. Let’s be thankful for our rich spiritual home and the flow of loving support it brings
to each one of us.
Remember, too, that our commUnity has important gifts to offer to the world. We come together in the
name of love. As we allow Spirit to lead our thoughts, we become co-creators in the infinite flow of
God’s goodness and abundance. We are a center of spiritual light for people everywhere. And we are
dedicated to letting this light shine so brightly that people become more aware of their spiritual nature
and better able to express it in their daily lives.
So when you consider your giving intentions for the coming year, we encourage you to give generously
and consistently, as Spirit leads. If you have never done so in the past, you might consider stepping up
to a full ‘tithe’ – 10% of your income – and experience how your consciousness of abundance expands.
And, let us assure you that no matter how you invest in Unity, Unity will continue to invest in you,
always.
