LMCH Bylaws Article II, Section 5, Line c. – The Hideaway is primarily for recreational use by members and their
family members. Members may bring guests to the Hideaway subject to regulation by the Board of Directors.
LMCH Defines immediate family as husband, wife, son or daughter. Grandparents would also be considered as immediate family. In-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews are not considered immediate family members and
will be treated as guests.
Guests will not be allowed through the gate until the member is present to escort the guest. Members are required to be
present during the guest’s stay. Guests that follow another member or guest through the gate are not allowed and
are subject to removal. It is the responsibility of the member to open the OUT gate for their guests to exit camp. If
a guest comes to the OUT gate unaccompanied, they will be instructed to locate the member to allow access
through the OUT gate.
Any Bylaw, policy, and regulation violation may be subject to a fine up to $500
Message from the Vice President:
The LMCH Board of Directors has had a busy year with very full agendas and many issues to discuss and consider. And it is busy in camp as
well, with lots of people enjoying this wonderful place and summer activities in full swing. Much is the same and much is new.
Over this past year, we have hired a new company to provide our financial and accounting services, a new Camp Manager, and a new Office
Manager. We have committees providing much needed and appreciated service and support and who have many new committee members
bringing great new ideas. Our staff has spent time and energy developing new processes and procedures to ensure effective and secure operations.
As a Board, we can now devote more of our time and energy to planning for the future by beginning a formal process of setting goals for this
next year. To that end, we have scheduled a special board meeting for Saturday, July 30 th in the LMCH conference room immediately following
the regular board meeting. This will be a working session to develop a set of “lofty goals” for this next year that will give the Camp Manager
direction. The Camp Manager will be responsible for implementation of the goals.
We invite members to attend the meeting. Member input is welcomed at the first of the working session and will be limited to input specific to
goal setting. Once member input has been received, the balance of the meeting will be Board-only discussion and members in attendance will
be welcome to observe.
The June 25th regular meeting of the LMCH Board of Directors has been cancelled due to the unavailability of several board members.
Happy summer and happy camping!
Mary Ann Wersch
Vice President, LMCH Board of Directors
The Board of Directors will have three openings for the membership to fill
at the September 25th annual meeting.
Two of those elected will serve positions that have three-year terms. The third seat to be filled will be for two years, the unfulfilled term due
to a board members resignation. The three existing board members are eligible to serve another term if they file and the members elect them.
You must be a proprietary member of LMCH in good standing and a member for a minimum of one-year prior to the election. You can access
the LMCH website at www.lmch.com and download an application. You can also stop by the office and obtain an
application at the front counter. The deadline for submitting your completed application is Monday July 25, 2016.
Please remember to mark your calendars for the annual meeting on Saturday, September 25, 2016 at noon.
Thank you,
Don Gregory, Board Secretary
Grievance Committee Seeking Chair
The former Chair of the Grievance Committee, Debbie Hill, has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors. As a result, we
will be appointing a new Grievance Committee Chair. We are seeking an individual with experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and/or
grievance processing. If you are interested in this position, please contact me at [email protected] or 503 522-6208.

From the LMCH Finance Manager
We would like to take the opportunity to update you on items pertaining to the member’s receivable accounts.
Emailed statements are now available. Those members that previously signed up, received their first statements via email in June. If you
would like your statements sent via email please send me a note at [email protected] or contact the office so that we can verify your email
address and get you on the list.
Many members that pay their dues in advance have requested that they receive monthly statements reflecting the activity. We agree it is a
good practice for members to see the activity on their account each month. In order to facilitate this request we have changed the preferences to print all statements with anything other than a zero balance.
The requested change above has brought to light many small discrepancies and open invoices dating back to 2004. Over the last two
months, we have been working on investigating and resolving old items in each account to reduce the number of statements printed with a
small amount due or credit balances.
You may see adjustments to the accounts as we resolve the old issues that have been carried forward. You may also see adjustments between the member’s two accounts if a small credit or balance due can be eliminated.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected] or contact the office.
Lisa Joerin, LMCH Finance Manager

There is a new feature at the Waterfront - A life Jacket Loaner
Station has been created. It is located on the east side of the Waterfront Security Office. The life jackets have been donated by the
