March Book Clubs
Classic Re-Reads - The Thin Man by
Dashiell Hammett - Nick and Nora
Charles are Hammett’s most enchanting creations, a rich, glamorous couple who solve homicides in
between wisecracks and martinis.
Great Reads - Still Alice by Lisa
Genova - Alice is a celebrated Harvard professor at the height of her
career when she notices a forgetfulness creeping into her life. As confusion starts to cloud her thinking and
her memory begins to fail her, she
receives a devastating diagnosis: early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
Teen Book Club - The Hunger
Games by Suzanne Collins - A dystopian government hosts a brutal competition in which one boy and one
girl from each district must fight to
the death in recompense for a failed
revolution. Sixteen year old Katniss
volunteers for the Games in her sister’s place.
This & That - The War of the
Worlds by H. G. Wells - Invaders
from Mars decimate the English
countryside, harvesting humans for
their blood. This classic is considered the grandfather of alien invasion stories. *This is a public domain
book and it is available as a free
download through Library2Go.
Who Done It? - Faceless Killers by
Henning Mankell - It was a senselessly violent crime: on a cold night in a
remote Swedish farmhouse, an elderly farmer is bludgeoned to death, and
his wife is left to die with a noose
around her neck.
