Integrity, simply stated, is doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. It’s doing the right thing even when you don’t think it really matters, or it’s hard. To live a life of integrity is to live a life in which you are true to your values and beliefs, and do nothing that would demean or dishonor you. members to hold people accountable to living the values of Ark Regional Services. Below is a poem that was shared with me the first time I went through Mandt instructor training. I have used the principle of this poem as a yardstick by which I measure myself daily. I know I will make mistakes…I know that I will sometimes make poor decisions…I know that there may even Integrity comes in many forms, but honesty, dependability, be that day that I don’t give 100%. But at the end of the day, responsibility, and respect are words often linked to the concept. Just Google integrity and you will get any number of I will look in the mirror, and the reflection I see there won’t believe one ounce of the BS I use to excuse any behavior/ great quotes that personify the word. thought/attitude that was dishonest, irresponsible, or “Wisdom is knowing the right path to take…Integrity is taking disrespectful. it.” ~ M.H. McKee When you get what you want in your struggle for wealth, And the world makes you King for a day, “Integrity is choosing your thoughts and actions based on Then go to the mirror and look at yourself, values rather than personal gain.” ~ Unknown And see what that guy has to say. “Do what is right, not what is easy” ~ Unknown “If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don’t have integrity, nothing else matters” – Alan Simpson “In looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And if they don’t have the first, the other two will kill you.” ~ Warren Buffett Integrity (or lack thereof) is often times demonstrated in those little, inconsequential (or perceived as inconsequential) ways. Do you take responsibility for the parking ticket that you earned, even though it won’t be traced back to you (integrity), or do you wait for the Ark to get the bill with fines 6 months later (lack of integrity)? Do you respect the property of others (integrity) or do you take the pen, that can of soup, those laundry detergent tabs, or the $2.34 in change that is laying on the desk (lack of integrity)? Do you come to work and do everything that you can to enhance the lives of the people you support, help your co-workers, and improve your work area (integrity) or do you do the minimum required to get by (lack of integrity)? Some people may think you a straight-shootin’ chum, And think you’re a wonderful guy. But the man in the glass says you’re only a bum If you can’t look him straight in the eye. For it isn’t your Father, or Mother, or Wife, Whose judgment upon you must pass. The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life Is the guy staring back from the glass. You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years, And get pats on the back as you pass, But your final reward will be heartaches and tears If you’ve cheated the guy in the glass. He’s the fellow to please, never mind all the rest, For he’s with you clear up to the end, And you’ve passed your most dangerous, difficult test If the guy in the glass in your friend. Do you live with integrity? Can you look at yourself in the mirror and say that you did the right thing today? If so, then Integrity is a non-negotiable characteristic that staff members of Ark Regional Services must have. The people we it’s a good day! are here to support every day rely on us to do the right thing by them, as do their families, the Laramie community, and the State of Wyoming. We don’t have the resources to look over every staff person’s shoulder and ensure that they are living and working with integrity, so we have to believe that people have personal integrity, and rely on other staff modifying PRN.” (if there was not, explain why not). ii. “The PRN (was / was not) effective.” (if not, explain why not) Therap Tip Behavior Modifying PRN Documentation Guidelines Person assisting client with the PRN 1) Document the PRN on the MAR 2) Input a.Type b. When finished grilling, let the coals completely cool before disposing in a metal container. Propane Grills Check the gas tank hose for leaks before using it for the first time each year. You can do this by applying a light soap and water solution to the hose. A propane leak will release bubbles. If you have a leak, get the grill services by a professional before using it again. If you smell gas while cooking, immediately get away from the grill and call the fire department. Do not move the grill. If the flame goes out, turn the grill and gas off and wait at least 15 minutes before re-lighting it.
