Tuesday Tours of Lakepoint Begin
Join Tom Judson, President/COO and Tommy Lee,
(Director of Business Development) every two weeks
for a guided tour of the Lakepoint Restaurant and Event
Center. Come see the plans for the premier Bella Vista
POA amenity and how the project is progressing.
Tours began June 28 and will continue through the
completion of the project every two weeks on Tuesdays
at 9 a.m. Attendees are requested to meet in the
Lakepoint parking lot (formerly known as the Yacht Club)
located at 1 Marina Dr.

Branchwood Trail OPEN
The Bella Vista POA is proud to announce that our Country
Club Golf Course is the newest addition to Arkansas' Natural
State Golf Trail.
Phase One of the Branchwood Trail project is complete!
The grand opening celebration on June 25 at the Branchwood
facility honored Charlie Teal, whose guidance and support
during this project were greatly appreciated. Events included
live music, BBQ, a game area and face painting for the kids,
guided trail and nature walks and a nature scavenger hunt.
This addition is now one of 13 elite courses on the golf trail.
An evaluation team applies specific criteria and all courses
considered must receive favorable ratings in the following areas:
course design, course condition, challenge level, playability,
facility condition, customer service and food service.
The trail winds through the previous location of the
Branchwood Golf Course at 222 Glasgow Rd. offering a
beautiful view of wildlife and the surrounding Ozark forest.
The Country Club Golf Course, the community’s oldest golf
course built in 1967, can best be described as a “classic” design
that gently rolls through the valley along Little Sugar Creek.
While long and challenging, this course has very forgiving
terrain and bent grass greens.
The Bella Vista POA is excited to share this new amenity that
we know you’ll enjoy.

The Natural State Golf Trail was created to showcase the
scenic courses that dot the state and allow you to play

Berksdale Golf Course Seeks
Audubon International Certification
The Bella Vista POA is working toward certification with
the Audubon Cooperative
Sanctuary Program for Golf.
Achieving the ACSP certification for the Berksdale Golf
Course will be a significant
accomplishment. Courses
designated as a Certified
Audubon Cooperative
Sanctuary demonstrate their
environmental leadership in
the golf industry. Course staff
and members can take pride
in knowing that the course
provides significant wildlife
habitat and is maintained in
an environmentally responsible manner.
By managing the property with a higher degree of

enhanced green space for

help to conserve resources for

Enjoy Some Competition at
Golf Tournaments
Two upcoming tournaments will give golfers the opportunity
to enjoy some competition. Bella Vista POA’s “All in the Family”
Golf Tournament will take place July 23-24 on the Kingswood
and Berksdale Golf Courses. The tournament is open to
property owners and their guests. Teams must consist of two
relatives. Each player must be age 6 or older. Husband and wife
teams are not allowed.
Rally for the Cure - Prize for Best Decorated Cart went to the
team of Chris Baker, Elsie Imhof, Rosalie Wilmes and Laurie
Pike for the fashionable outfit pictured above. The breeze
would catch the skirt and flip it up which kept this team
and others laughing throughout the tournament. The 19th
annual tournament splashed pink all over the Kingswood and
Berksdale Golf Courses June 14.

Each day of play will consist of 18 holes of golf – nine holes of
modified scotch twosomes and nine holes of scrambles. The
entry fee is $80 per team, which includes lunch on Sunday and
"Flight" and “Closest-to-the-Pin” prizes. All fees must be prepaid.
The registration and cancellation deadline is Monday, July 18.

The Annual Men’s Classic Golf Tournament will be July 15-17
at the Bella Vista Country Club Golf Course. The tournament
consists of two 18-hole rounds of “Two-Man Best-Ball” net.
The alternate tees (Birdie Patrol) will be used. Flights will be
determined by handicaps.

Bella Vista Animal Shelter Golf Tournament

The Bella Vista Animal Shelter will be hosting a fundraising
golf event on Saturday, July 16, 2016. The $75 entry per person
(four-person teams) includes 18 holes of golf at Kingswood Golf
Course, box lunch and goodie bag.
Both the Member
Services staff and
Water Billing staff
will be available.
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Please arrive early for registration. Box lunches will be served
from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
hole-in-one and Closest-to-the-Pin. Proceeds from the event
will help offset annual operating costs to feed, shelter and
provide medical care for the approximately 800-900 stray dogs
and cats that we support throughout the year. Please contact
the shelter for a registration form. All registrations must be
received by July 6.
We are also accepting hole sponsors at this time. If you

displayed on a tee/hole sign during the
tournament, please contact Robin
