SACE RESULTS 2015 C AT H O L I C C O L L E G E From the Secondary Campus Principal Nazareth Catholic Community is once again extremely proud to celebrate the outstanding results of our Year 12 students. The 2015 graduating class results have continued the Nazareth tradition of 100% SACE completion, for the sixth year in a row. These amazing results are a tribute to the dedicated and committed staff of the College and the highly valued partnership we have with our families. In addition, the curriculum offerings and subject selection processes have been designed to provide success for all students, inclusive of all talents and capabilities. Congratulations to all of our 2015 Year 12 students and Nazareth staff for their outstanding achievements. • 100% SACE completion for the 6th year in a row; • 48 Subject Merits were achieved by 33 students across a wide range of Stage 2 subjects including Biology, Child Studies, Economics, English Communications, English Studies, Food and Hospitality, Geography, Integrated Learning, Mathematical applications, Physical Education, Religion Studies, Research Project B, and Society and Culture; • 42 students achieved an ATAR over 90.00 with 4 students achieving an ATAR over 99.00; • 113 students achieved an ATAR above 70.00; • All Stage 2 subject grades were in the A, B or C band; • Our Dux is Ellie Constantine with an ATAR of 99.55 followed by Danielle Talbot (99.35), Jesse Neill (99.20) and Clare Biju (99.15). The results are truly a credit to all concerned. As a learning community we will continue to build on our success. In 2016, our Middle School Review will provide its key recommendations to the Campus Executive Team. These recommendations will inform the curriculum, staff professional learning and teaching processes for the future. At the same time, the Performance Standards for Years 8 – 10 will come into effect. These standards will guide the quality assurance for the teaching and learning from Years 8 – 10 and will provide a solid foundation for students as they move into the Years 10 – 12 SACE program. In addition, 2016 will also see the full implementation of the iScholaris Learning Management System at both the Primary and Secondary campuses. This important initiative will provide teachers with improved communication and feedback for their students. The system will provide students with an electronic diary to assist with their organisational skills. Later in the implementation phase, iScholaris will be available to parents and they will be able to view their child’s work and teacher feedback. This will add another dimension to the parent/school communication and partnership to enhance the success of our students. As well as these features, Nazareth will remain committed to providing high quality education, leading to success for all students into the future. Once again, congratulations to the students of 2015, their families and staff at Nazareth for a remarkable achievement - an achievement of which we are very proud.
