PAIN: THE FIFTH VITAL SIGN Chuck Gokoo, MD, CWS, American Medical Technologies Pain is a common, subjective experience for many older adults. While it may be a factor associated with a number of disease processes, it is a myth that pain is a normal part of aging. The information presented will assist clinicians in understanding the current regulations regarding resident pain and in providing enhanced interventions and outcomes.
