The Producers
Director’s Letter
Manny is so excited to be back at the historic Crighton Theatre and working with the wonderful
Stage Right producers, Steve and Carolyn Wong. He is very excited to be directing the show that you the
audience voted for last season, “The Producers”. That’s right you chose it and Stage Right is presenting
the show you voted for!
It takes an enormous crew to produce a show of this magnitude and I truly want to thank the
board of directors of the Crighton Foundation, the Board of Directors of Stage Right and the entire cast
and crew for their dedication and passion to the show and for delivering the wonderful production you
are about to experience tonight. It has been a privilege and an honor to have had the opportunity to
work on this production. Most of all “Thank You” the audience for supporting the arts in Conroe and
we hope we send you home this evening with a lighter heart and humming the tunes you heard this
evening.
Manny Cafeo
Director
From the Producers:
Fasten your seatbelts!!! We are very happy to bring Mel Brooks’ hilarious show to the Crighton stage
but we do so with more than a bit of trepidation. It is not the type of show you expect from us here
at STAGE RIGHT. But, we do want to remind our patrons that this show was voted for by our patrons
so we are bringing it to you in all its hysterical political incorrectness! During rehearsal we have had
such fun giggling at all the funny and ‘Oh my’ moments in this show and yet all the while worrying will
our audiences enjoy the show. We hope you do. We bring it to you not to make light of anything but
rather feel, as Mel Brooks has expressed, that there are some things so heinous, some evil so deep,
some events so vile that to dwell on them gives power to those that perpetrated them; where even
after many years we are stirred to hatred in our own hearts. But, to laugh at them is to take that power
away. There still is evil in the world. We hope by presenting this show, you laugh and you are able to,
even if just for the time within these walls, forget any troubles and the cares seen in the nightly news.
Laugh. It’s good medicine.

TODD BRADY (Understudy for Roger DeBris/Bryan/Rolf/Ensemble). I started acting a few years ago as a hobby. Retiring
from my dental business, I needed to stay

much fun, I just couldn’t wait to be a part of The Producers.
Thanks so much to my wife Karen for her support and my
friends for driving so far to see their pal.
THOMAS BRANDON (Donald Dinsmore/

Legally Blonde – The Musical
By Neil Simon
July 8 – 24, 2016
Auditions:
April 26 & 27, 2016
Four couples arrive at the townhouse of a deputy New York City
mayor and his wife to attend a party
celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary. However, the four couples
soon discover that there are no servants, the hostess is missing and
the deputy mayor has shot himself
in the head (it’s only a flesh wound). Comic complications arise when, given everyone’s upper class
status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local
police and the media.
A fabulously fun international award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde The
Musical, follows the transformation of Elle Woods
as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. This action-packed
musical explodes on the stage with memorable
songs and dynamic dances. Equal parts hilarious
and heart-warming, this musical is so much fun it
should be illegal!
