About Modern
Modern Beauty Supplies was established in 1986, and with the support of
our customers, it has evolved into the company it is today. With 7 locations
in Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Burnaby and Victoria. Modern now also
serves Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. Since Modern’s inception,
the company has progressively thrived with its success owed to its clients’
support. Presently, Modern Beauty Supplies is one of Canada’s largest
beauty suppliers.

the Modern Partnership Program provides an exclusive and competitive
advantage for our partners! The intent of this program is to provide salon
owners with the opportunity to broaden their business while getting the
support needed to help them prosper.

Salon Qualifications
More Information
Salon is required to be 100% committed to one or more professional color
brands, it’s corresponding retail brand and two additional retail brands.
The Moroccanoil and Unite loyalty programs are administrated
independently of the MPP. All Moroccanoil and Unite purchases do not
apply to Modern Rewards but do qualify as a second retail brand (see
pages 12-13).
Program is available to salon owners only.
Application to the program does not guarantee acceptance.
Window decals of the color and retail brands are required to be displayed
on window or entrance door.
Application is reviewed and approved by Modern Beauty management team.
Reward dollars can be used toward open stock items and/or furniture at
regular price. Additional promotions do not apply.
Member must keep Modern account current at all times, otherwise the
participant will be ineligible and all accumulated rewards from the program
will be terminated.
All tools, products and backbar purchased using reward dollars are for
station used only.
Retail product cannot be redeemed using reward dollars.
If the minimum level purchase amount is not met for more than one
quarter, the membership to the Modern Partnership Program will be
terminated and reapplication is required.
Once application has been approved, the program contract must be signed.
Rewards products will be labeled as not for resale and tools will be shipped
without packaging.
Backbar station products are not for resale and will be labelled as such.
Rewards expire 30 days after the end of each quarter.

What qualifies a Modern partnership salon?
MPP is available to salon owners who meet a minimum quarterly purchase
of $2,000. The salons must offer one or more professional color brands and
its corresponding retail brand and two additional retail lines sold at Modern
Beauty.
Can you carry color without the retail brand?
You must carry the retail brand corresponding to the professional color used
in your salon.
Can a salon carry over the reward dollars into the next
quarter?
No, all reward dollars terminate within 30 days from the end of the quarter
period (see page for 9 for further details). There are no exceptions.
Does my reward level fluctuate with my spending per
quarter?
Yes! Your rewards level depends on total spending per quarter. If you qualify for
the next rewards level, you will receive all the benefits of that level. Therefore,
you are never restricted- the higher the level, the more rewards! In order to
benefit from all of the rewards in each given level, you must remain in the level
for three consecutive quarters.

Can I use my rewards towards furniture purchases?
Yes, you are able to purchase furniture and salon equipment using your
rewards. Please note that all purchases made using your reward dollars are
processed at regular price.
Do my Moroccanoil and Unite purchases count towards
the Modern Partnership Program?
Moroccanoil and Unite offer rewards programs independent of the MPP
however do qualify as a second retail brand. Ask your Modern Business
Advisor how you can qualify for these programs separately.
Can a salon use their reward dollars on products for resale?
No, all products from the Modern Partnership Program are not for resale.
The reward dollars are meant to be used to offset backbar and station
styling product costs.
What disqualifies a salon?
If a salon’s Modern account is delinquent (must be current at all times)
If the minimum level purchase required ($2,000 per quarter) is not met for
more than one quarter
If salon is selling rewards products meant for backbar and station use only
How are reward product purchases made?
Any salon with active reward dollars is able to place rewards orders through
their Modern Business Advisor. This ensures that all rewards are used within
the designated period, and that participants are receiving all the benefits of
the program. The delivery of rewards products is done in the same manner as
regular Modern purchases (invoices tracked separately).

Can a disqualified salon rejoin the modern partnership
program?
Yes, however the application must be resubmitted and the approval process
will still take place through the Modern head office. All previous salon reward
dollars will be reset.
