Testimonials from the study visit group that participated in the 2011 programme
to Cape Town, South Africa:
“I feel really privileged to have had the opportunity to take part. We met some
inspirational social entrepreneurs and I’ve come home with lots of opportunities
to connect with the SA organisations and the international visit group participants,
and a long list of learning points relating to how we can improve how we run our
social business to achieve maximum impact”.
“Great programme in Cape Town, variety and inspiring organisations and a fast
paced schedule to make sure we squeezed as much out of each day”.
A unique experience with inspirational social enterprises, great networking, fascinating cultural
settings and outstanding locations.
CEiS are coordinating a Learning and Development Programme to Bahia following the Social Enterprise World Forum
in Rio de Janeiro. The programme will involve 3 days of social enterprise study visits in Bahia. This programme will
allow participants to interact with international social enterprise leaders and practitioners from around the world in
an intense and stimulating Visit Programme with a group of around 20 participants. Past participants in international
study visits have found that the investment in this learning experience has significantly enhanced their networks and
brought fresh thinking and improvements to their own social enteprise businesses.
The programme will:
•
Provide high quality enterprise visits to outstanding social enterprises
•
Provide opportunities to engage with local enterprise leaders and policy makers
•
Generate discussion in our group about the relevance and potential of the experience
The cost of the visit will be approximately £1199. This figure will be confirmed depending on group size, sponsorship
and flight prices at the time of booking. Potential participants are asked to e-mail Lynsey Johnston - lynsey.johnston@
ceis.org.uk for an Expression of Interest form. Price includes domestic return flight to Salvador from Rio de Janeiro,

Samba. Neguinho has for more than three decades invested his experience and discipline to transform the lives of
impoverished young children in the historic central district of Salvador, Bahia into responsible citizens and conscientious
