Bahia represents 13.2% of the Brazil’s tourism GDP. New Incentives for international flights EXEMPTION OF ICMS-VALUE ADDED TAX ON AVIATION FUEL The State of Bahia has granted an ICMS-value added tax exemption for the transportation of international passengers, as long as there are no stopovers (direct flights). Originally taxed at 17%, the rate has been reduced to 0, as the fuel is considered an export product.
