brakes and added a custom trunk and awesome
sound system. To keep up with the times, the

The Annual Joint Chamber Golf Outing,
under the direction of Greg Taylor, Guidance
Wealth LLC, has been able to net close to
$150,000 over the past 10 years. This major
fund raiser for each Chamber supports
Chamber Sponsored Dollars for Scholars
scholarships and MANY "FREE to the
Community" CHAMBER events! Our outing
was especially successful in 2008, in turn
MANY other organizations jumped on the
Golf Outing Fund Raising bandwagon. I feel
back: Jeff Kitson, Greg Taylor, Dawn Morey,
Bart Rice, Troy Schwartz
front: Deb Shively, Chuck Grimm, Larry Perks,
Marvene Pippenger, Darla Burns, Tom Myers
that hospitality, the prizes, and the way the
golfers on our committee set up the course
make our Outing stand out from others in the area. We also have GREAT and
FAITHFUL Major Sponsors. Their seed money allow us to plan our budget and
purchase great prizes. The Volunteers!!! 45+ and 90% of them are returning helpers. I'll bet HALF have been with us the whole 10 years!! It's been
hard for me to describe what exactly makes it fun to volunteer for the outing.
It 's part ambiance, it's part feeling helpful but my friend put it a very good
way "It's not hard work! It's the best excuse to sit around and not feel guilty about it! You
get to see people you haven't seen in while, meet some new people,
have snacks brought to you all the
time and get some sun (usually!)"
Plus: We're
always goofing
around!

The answer is……….
Provident Tool & Die acquired the Turnomat company 3 years ago and constructed an
addition on their building on SR 19. I am a little late in
reporting but still happy to celebrate Craig & Candy
Henkler’s continued business success. In their absence I was
able to speak to Denny Prout. He was supervising the
Grinding & Cooling of a 2” Square
Steel Shaft. They make 5 sizes of
square shafts (5/8 to 2 1/2”).
The ball bearings he showed me
(left) are the interior workings that
make these units slide in and out so
efficiently.
I am not technically minded but so
amazed that this company in Wakarusa makes a product that is
shipped all over the US and to at least 11 other countries!
SO now you know…… where to go if you ever need linear motion bearings and
slides……. And you might even know now, what they are.
You can see the
square shaft in
this unit.
This whole unit is
constructed onsite.
