The VGS ROOT series guitars in classic Dreadnought shapes with solid tops make perfect workhorses in any
situation. The VGS Avalanche bridge shape ensures sufficient pressure and optimal sound transmission from
the string to the top and body. The electro-acoustic models are equipped with well-known Fishman electronics
including a built-in chromatic tuner. Express your feelings with these reliable and affordable pieces of art!

The VGS BAYOU series is characterized by the well-established combination of solid spruce tops on back
and sides made from mahogany. Centrepiece of the different body shapes is the asymmetric „Sound Control
Bridge“ that allows for a harmonized mass and frequency distribution. Exciting details and unique decorations
make sure that great sound comes along with an outstanding feel.

The VGS ROSE series features the classic combination of spruce and rosewood available in some of the

This, along with the extensive know-how in developing musical instruments, inspired us at VGS to produce high-grade acoustic
guitars in Europe. Traditional handiwork and love for detail are as much in the fore as the use of state-of-the-art machinery and
latest technology. The solid tonewood tops from European spruce are naturally dried for years and hand-selected. The top bracing was custom-attuned to the desired Root sound. The result are guitars with a constant quality of sound and manufacturing,

The VGS Root Series combines the construction of the American acoustic guitar with the tradition of European guitar making.
The development team, consisting of guitar makers, musicians and designers, is based in the so called “Musikwinkel“ (= „musical corner“) in the Saxon Vogtland - the centre of traditional European instrument making. The father of the modern acoustic
guitar, C.F. Martin, was also domiciled here, before he went to the New World and laid the foundation for the instrument that we
know today.

True Temperament - frets of the future!
Tune Once - Play Forever
EverTune bridge systems work on a purely mechanical basis and keep your guitar automatically in tune after a one-time
adjustment. Also, when changing strings and using the same string gauge by the same string producer. After mounting the
new strings, they can be put into the same setting as the previous set of strings quickly and easily by some turns of the machine heads.
The basic functions of the EverTune systems are based on trigonometry and some rudimentary physics: Each string has,
when correctly tuned, a steady tension. The EverTune system employs a spring, that – when correctly adjusted – counteracts the respective string with the same tension. Changes in tension, like straining the material or slight de-tunings at the
machine heads are now automatically balanced.
The EverTune is split into six segments with six single springs – one segment being responsible for a string. If a string snaps
the tuning of the other strings will not be affected. External influences like cold (off-stage) and warmth (on-stage) are offset
by the system.
There’s really nothing like the True Temperament Fretting System in the world of
guitars. This heavenly gift to all guitarists struggling to get a perfect intonated guitar
is just unbelievable.
For instance: all minor and major chords in the lower position sound amazing, and
what’s even more amazing - the same open chords played an octave up also ring
out perfectly in tune.
So what’s wrong with straight frets? Standard equal tempered fret spacing is calculated from one single piece of information about the instrument - the scale length.
However the frequency of a vibrating string is determined by three factors: the speaking length, its mass, and the tension applied. All three of these factors are affected
to varying degrees when a string is pressed down on a fret.

activated, even bendings are adjusted by the system, there will be
no changes in sound while bending the strings. The set-up of the
guitar is done in the sweet-spot. By using the provided hex-wrench
it is possible to adjust string-action, intonation and tuning of the
instrument.
Bend-stop
• The machine heads of the single strings are turned until the tuning
of the single strings switches to the next higher note; now turn back
a quarter and you are in the bend-stop mode, the system is still
active and you can play various bendings as usual.
The Swedish inventor Anders Thidell spent over 15 years developing Curved Frets
and Dynamic Intonation. It all started years ago when Anders had his own trio Electric Church and couldn’t get the sound he heard inside his head, no matter what
guitar he tried. Anders then realised that the fretboard had to be modified with 31
curved frets to get the exact intonated positions.
In 2005 he teamed up with veteran guitar builder/technician Paul Guy - an internationally acknowledged authority in the field of guitar tuning - who convinced him to
develop a temperament using 12 notes per octave, instead of the 31 he came up
with before. The result ended up in Thidell Formula 1 - a 12 note per octave welltemperament. Together they developed the system into what True Temperament is
today.

The only way to fully compensate for these parameters is to adjust each and every
string-to-fret contact point on the fingerboard separately, until each and every note
plays the target frequency exactly. This - which is impossible on a guitar with traditional, one-piece, straight frets - is exactly what True Temperament does, with Dynamic Intonation-, and Curved Frets.
