Notice Black Rollway Bridge Closure
The Ministry of Natural Resources has informed all users that the bridge nearest to the
Black Rollway that crosses the Eagle River is closed to all traffic. The reason is due to
the extreme poor state of the bridge. Therefore, anyone caught contravening article 34 of
the Forestry Acts, under which this falls, will be fined $600.00.
If you have any questions please contact the Ministry of Natural Resources at (819) 4493333 and refer to bridge number H073-003.
ANIMAL CONTROL
This is a reminder that Kitigan Zibi animal control services ended in December
2012. Please do not leave or dump your unwanted animals within the
community. One of the most heartbreaking sights around these parts is traveling
down the road and seeing a slowly starving dog or cat scavenging for food. It is
even more heartbreaking when that dog or cat is a female dog with pups or
kittens. People who no longer want or can’t handle their pets can take them to
the SPCA of Western Quebec, 659 rue August Mondoux, Aylmer, QC, telephone (819)
770-7722, and leave them in hopes that the animal will be adopted to a forever home.
Call the SPCA for business hours and instructions on bringing in the animals.
