Open House was a success!
We would like to thank everyone that attended open house. We had a great turnout
with lots of volunteers signing up, families meeting the teachers and ice cream, lots
of ice cream! It was great seeing so many old friends and new faces!

OPEN TO ALL 4TH AND 5TH GRADERS
OCTOBER 5TH
Ms. Brin will host the fourth graders and Mrs. Schram will host
the fifth graders. Classes will be held Wednesday’s after school
from 3:10 until 4:15. There are six classes on the following
dates: October 7, 14, 28. November 4 and 18. And December 2.
A form will be sent home soon so you can sign up.

school pictures.

Music for You and Your Child!
Registration is now open for the beginning steel drum class.
Open to students, parents and staff, with a maximum number of
sixteen students. Classes will be held on Wednesdays, 3:104:10, October 7-December 16. If you are interested in learning
to play, contact Mrs. Martin by phone or email by September
30th.
Registration is also open for our new mariachi band. I would
love to include parents that have some skill in trumpet, violin,
guitar or guitarron. Mariachi rehearsals are
on Tuesdays from 3:10-4:30 beginning in October. If you and/or your child are interested in playing, please contact Mrs. Martin by
phone or email.

Volunteering & Fingerprinting!
It is required of all people wanting to volunteer in our schools, chaperone field trips,
6th grade camp etc..
You must fill out a new volunteer questionnaire at the beginning of each new
school year. If you do not have fingerprints on file, you must do them.
Mr. Nicolas is available in our office for fingerprinting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
9:00 am to 11:30 am. If you are unable to
come during these times, please call our office to schedule a time.

Kent School District children need to be at school:
On Time All Day Every Day (If they are healthy enough to attend )
For each day a student is absent it takes an average of 3 days to catch up.

Missing 3 or more days of school per month can set a student back from 1 to 2 full years
of learning!
