Hello everyone and welcome to
the Summer issue of your newsletter.
We’ve got so much to tell you
about!
We have been out and about
helping with the East Kent Sports
Day & Dover Fun Day and so much
more...
There are LOTS of Summer
Activities for you to come along to
for some Fun in the Sun!
Look inside for more details!
We hope to see you at an Activity
Day very soon...
Thank you so much to those of you who were
involved in the making of the new ‘Care to Listen 2’
film. The film is now finished and if you helped make it,
you will be sent a copy soon.
The film will be used to help people understand what it
is like 1being in care and to train new staff like social
workers.
At VSK, we have 2 new apprentices due to
start work soon. Annabelle will be working
in East Kent with Sophia and Hayley, and
Kahleigh will be working in West Kent with
Amelia. Check out our next issue to find out
how they have been getting on!
Your Apprentices are available to support and help you complete
your ePEP online questions!
If you would like us to come and help you please tell your
Social Worker or get in contact with us.
We recently ran a competition asking you to design
this year’s invitation to the VSK Awards Ceremony.
We had some really great entries and it was hard to
choose the best ones.
The winning entries were from Jim, Tia and Rosie.
Congratulations to all 3 of you.

In May, the apprentices headed
up to River Primary School in Dover with a lucky dip, lots of lollies
and bubbles! We had a stand at
the Dover fun day to tell you
about our job role and what we
do. We also wanted to tell you
about our fantastic Children in
Care Council (OCYPC). We had
lots of photos to show what we do
and what we are planning for the future. Thank you to everyone who
showed interest in our stand and we hope to see some of you at our
activity days very soon!
The East Kent Sports Day was a big success and it was great to see so
many of you there. It was a brilliant day even though it rained all day,
this didn’t stop everyone joining in with all the fun, games and activities.
MC Harry Shotta came along and put
together some music workshops…..
You can listen to the end results in podcasts
on the Kent Cares Town Radio Station -
