DAVID FOULK & MARION OB/GYN Since 1928, the Palace Theatre’s iconic marquee has lit up to welcome performers to the stage and patrons to the seats. However, eight decades of harsh winters and heavy rains took a toll on the beautiful building. In Oct 2013, the theatre began the $1.8 million restoration to the decaying historic façade. In addition to the replacement of brick, terra cotta and steel, the upright P-A-L-A-C-E blade sign and canopy marquee have been updated with 900 environmentally friendly lighting components. The project was officially completed and unveiled on April 3, 2016. Listed below are names of companies and individuals who pledged to RELIGHT THE PALACE MARQUEE. A sincere THANK YOU goes to these donors who each played a significant part in restoring the Palace’s grand entrance, thus keeping the arts alive and well in Marion, Ohio.
