We concluded the Service Conference recently at Sunway
Hotel with a new set of targets and goals drawn out for those
in the field. Let us achieve these standards we have set for us
to meet. It takes all of us to improve our ratings.
I am also proud to reward our employees through the Bonus
paid out. Despite a tough market situation, we are able to
address it well to have a good year ahead. A gentle advise to
you all, spend your bonus money wisely.
Congratulations are equally due for Inokom for the recent
signed deal to supply its Hyundai licensed assembled Elantra
Nu1.8L models to Thailand. May this lead to more collaboration between our two countries in future.
We recently showcased the all-new Genesis to the public for
the first time at NU Sentral Mall when we we sponsored the
squash court for the CIMB Malaysian Open Squash Championship 2014. The excercise of showcasing the car at major
events was also replicated in London when the Genesis was
revealed at the annual London Fashion Week. These displays
are a statement on the vast possibilities available with Hyundai
technology. Let’s be proud of our association with the brand.

INOKOM EXPORTS THE ELANTRA Nu1.8L TO THAILAND

28 August 2014, Kulim, Kedah - INOKOM Corporation Sdn
Bhd (Inokom) has inked a a deal with Hyundai Motor
(Thailand) Co. Ltd. (HMC Thailand) to assemble and export
1,000 units of the Elantra, Hyundai’s popular C-segment
passenger car to Thailand in its first year.

The Elantra Nu1.8L is the only model that is being exported
to Thailand at the moment. The number of units for export
to Thailand is expected to increase in tandem with market
demand as the Malaysian-assembled model is being priced
cheaper due to the ASEAN Free Trade Area Agreement
(AFTA).
According to Inokom’s Managing Director, En. Rizal Jailan,
the collaboration with Hyundai Motor (Thailand) could
open up more export business opportunities for Inokom,
especially for locally assembled Hyundai models.

HSDM HOLDS SERVICE CONFERENCE AT
SUNWAY HOTEL
15 August 2014, Selangor - HSDM held its
annual Service Conference at Sunway Hotel with
the attendance of over 150 participants from
across the country. Highlighted was the JD Power
ranking and CSI matters as dealers need to
comply HSDM’s new direction. Past year
achievements and upcoming year service
programme strategies were also revealed.
The event also allowed the opportunity to showcase the all-new Genesis which is a statement to
Hyundai’s advancement in technology.
The Conference ended with a dinner that
provided a moment to fellowship and get to know
each other as an extended Hyundai family.

CIMB MALAYSIAN OPEN SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP 2014
22 - 23 August 2014, Kuala Lumpur – Hyundai made its
presence felt at the CIMB Malaysian Open Squash Championship 2014 held at the NU Sentral Mall, KL Sentral, by
being the squash court sponsor for the event.
Hyundai is a strong advocate of sports having sponsored
numerous international sporting events including
football, golf and many others.
The premise was also used to show the all-new Hyundai
Genesis to the public for the first time.

HYUNDAI MOTOR PROVIDES A GLIMPSE OF THE
NEW GENERATION i20 COUPE
3 September 2014 - Hyundai Motor has revealed a first
impression of the New Generation i20 Coupe.
The New Generation i20 Coupe features a more sharply
raked rear pillar and a distinctive roof spoiler, enhancing its
sporty exterior. In keeping with the New Generation i20
family, the Coupe’s long hood and generous proportions
create a powerful stance, while the overall architecture
maintains a clear and simple design. Meanwhile, at the back,
the wrap-around rear window and unique treatment for the
lamp clusters communicate the model’s sophisticated design.
Like the five-door version, New Generation i20 Coupe was designed and developed at
Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre Europe in R sselsheim, Germany.
HYUNDAI SHELL WORLD RALLY TEAM TAKES TOP SIX
RESULT ON RALLY AUSTRALIA DEBUT
14 September 2014, Australia – The Hyundai Shell World Rally Team has
achieved its primary objective for the Rally Australia as all three Hyundai
i20 WRC cars completed the 20-stage event inside the top ten.
On its first trip to Rally Australia, the team has worked well to get all cars
to the finish and has had a positive and trouble-free final day. Hayden
Paddon (#20 Hyundai i20 WRC, co-driver John Kennard) was the top
finishing Hyundai i20 WRC driver, securing a strong sixth position. Thierry
Neuville (#7 Hyundai i20 WRC, co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul) ended the rally
in seventh with local hero Chris Atkinson (#8 Hyundai i20 WRC, co-driver
St phane Pr vot) rounding out the top ten.
ALL-NEW HYUNDAI GENESIS STORMS
LONDON FASHION WEEK 2014
19 September 2014, London - The All-New Hyundai Genesis strutted
its stuff on the streets of London as it received its first outing in the
UK during London Fashion Week 2014.
The stylish executive sedan, as well as a fleet of ix35s, was used to
chauffeur Storm Model Management’s catwalk models around
London for their busy schedule of castings, shows and events.
Hyundai’s fleet of cars ensured that top catwalk models, such as Lina
Berg, were able to rest their feet between shows and travel in highend comfort and style.
For the second time running, Hyundai UK also partnered up with ‘The
Apartment’ by providing Santa Fes to chauffer its guest list of top
bloggers around London. ‘The Apartment’ is the ultimate hub for the
latest fashion, lifestyle and beauty bloggers from around the globe
and was this year based at the luxe St Martins Lane in central London.
