MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE
THROUGH CUSTOMER DEDICATION
TOTAL COMMITMENT
TO PRODUCT QUALITY
A specialist manufacturer of bonded seals
and associated products, Pamargan has
progressively developed its product range
since 1981 to encompass all internationally
accepted standard bonded seals, together with many non-standard/customised
parts.
It has always been the aim of Pamargan
Products to exceed customer’s expectations,
by supplying a product that is defect free, on
time and competitively priced.
The Company was one of the first in its
field to be accredited to ISO 9002. The
quality system now covers the areas of
design and development and the use of
modern quality tools such as Statistical
Process Control and Failure Mode Effect
Analysis has led to further improvement.
In 1995 Pamargan qualified to add BS EN
ISO 9001 to the existing ISO 9002, creating
customer confidence in the knowledge
that the Company was recognised as
having the appropriate design systems
and necessary controls in place. Once a
feasibility study and advanced quality
plan has been completed our CAD system
will produce the required drawing for verification by the customer.

Constantly changing customer requirements
has seen customer/supplier relationships
evolve into active working partnerships with
the emphasis on close co-operation, especially in the development of innovative new
products. One such response to an assembly leakage problem with a major UK manufacturer resulted in Pamargan developing
the self -centralising bonded seal – so effective that it is now widely copied by other
manufacturers throughout the world.
Company commitment to quality allows customers the confidence to accept products
straight onto the production line, thus eliminating the expense of goods inward inspection and large stock holdings. This has
resulted in Pamargan being a preferred
supplier for the majority of Europe’s principal
users of bonded seals.
Throughout the company, from sales,
through design to manufacture and
despatch, customer satisfaction is of the
highest priority and is therefore the key
motivating factor.

WASHER SPECIFICATIONS
The Pamargan bonded seal is a rectangular section, metal washer, with a trapezoidal shaped ring of vulcanised rubber
bonded to the inside. Both the washer
and the material can be selected to suit a
given application. The seal is for use in
high pressure environments where copper
washers are unsuitable.

An improvement to the original concept is
the self-centralising bonded seal –
designed by Pamargan – that offers additional benefits. It is available in all popular

Pamargan’s Nitrile is based on an
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Copolymer material that is resistant to all mineral oils, water
and watery liquids, hot air and numerous
chemicals. It is a general purpose rubber
and is used in a variety of applications.
Pamargan’s Fluorocarbon material is
based on a Fluorocarbon elastometer with
an operating temperature of -25˚C to
NITRILE NBR
+250˚C and is resistant to mineral oils,
petrols, a wide range of solvents and
many chemicals. In this respect fluorocarbon is superior to other oil resistant materials such as nitrile (NBR) rubber.
Pamargan’s Hydrogenated Nitrile
(HNBR) is a compound with an operating
temperature range of +150˚C continuous
(10,000 hrs) to -30˚C continuous.
FLUOROCARBON
Temp. Range: -30˚C to + 110˚C
HNBR has higher tensile strength and
wear resistance than NBR, five times higher sour gasoline, sour gas and ozone
resistance. The material is highly efficient
in oil wells, with resistance to heat, hydrogen sulphide, corrosion inhibitor, oil and
steam. HNBR has wide applications in the
auto and oil industries.

SPECIAL BONDED PARTS
CONDITIONS OF ASSEMBLY IF NOT SELF-CENTRALISING
Partnerships are the growth of any business. Pamargan has now many partners
all over the world locking their companies into our highly motivated workforce
dedicated to customer satisfaction.
If the following instructions cannot be
applied, and if, in particular, the diametrical play exceeds the stated limits, automatic concentricity cannot be obtained. It
is recommended, in such cases to provide
a seating for the external diameter of the
bonded seal.
The dimensions listed in the reference
tables cover the range of normal utilisation
and the three types of thread in current
use.
metal ring must be a minimum of 0.7mm.
Before tightening the value of S must not
be less than 75% of the dimension R
(bonded rubber section).
It is important that the radial play should
not be less than the following values:
The elasticity of the rubber with a moderate tightening, ensures an efficient locking
of a threaded part, even in conditions of
vibration.
M3 to M8.5 Seals:
The seal can be centralised by means of a
counterbore (see figure 3). This diameter
should take into account the maximum
extenal diameter A of the metal ring.
Considerable ongoing investment in new
technology and quality systems has
enabled the company to confidently
expand its interests to other, related
areas, of rubber to metal bonding.
Fifteen years in this specialist area has
created considerable expertise in new
opportunities.
Facilities range from design/prototype
service to full production capability with
extensive experience in mould design,
rubber formulation and bonding agents.
In-house, computer aided design
enables prototypes to be produced with
the minimum of delay.
