Kollin Altomare Architects is a full service Architectural firm servicing the east and west coast,
along with the Hawaiian Islands. KAA has extensive experience and knowledge in Lodging, Retail,
Commercial, Office, Restaurant and Luxury Residential projects. Our Architectural Services restaurant
experience range from ground-up to tenant improvements, façade upgrades, interior design, F&B
collaboration and full service agency processing. We’ve completed projects across the United States
for such clients as California Pizza Kitchen, Supperclub, and numerous restaurants and bar within RitzCarlton Hotels, Langham Hotels, Loews and Fairmont Resorts.

RESTAURANT
The new Ironwood American Kitchen serves all day fare in a warm and inviting atmosphere
overlooking the resort’s South Pool. Key features include an exhibition kitchen for guests to
interact one-on-one with Chef Nick Marino and his team, bi-folding glass walls that allow
you to enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather and patio seating with fire pits for an evening
under the stars.

The Tap Room
“The now-open Tap Room takes its name from the original hotel bar, which made its debut
in the 1930s. The space, most recently known just as “The Bar,” now boasts contemporary
decor set within the room’s original dark wood paneling and deep crown molding.
The new look makes the place seem less like a wealthy grandma’s parlor and more like
what it should be: a seductive, big-city hotel lounge. Well-spaced couches and upholstered
chairs remain for those who cherish privacy, but the new centerpiece, a curvy, threepronged couch, nearly guarantees interaction. With cocktail tables that look like oversized
chess pieces, the big brass chandelier dipped in white enamel and tree stumps for tables
on the airy and bright terrace, the once-stuffy bar reveals a sense of humor and a fresh
new menu.”

The Royce
The Royce at The Langham Hotel features two wine
rooms – the White room with sleek and modern details
and the Red room accented with warm and traditional
touches. Other innovative elements of the space include
a glass enclosed veranda offering sweeping views of

Jer-ne (a play on the phonetic spelling
of “journey”) represents an adventure
in both restaurant design and cuisine.
The waterfront ambiance is open and
airy with rich wood floors, white walls
complemented with a touch of red, an
expansive teak deck and unique gold
ceilings with glass fixtures. A 14foot Mexican onyx communal table
designed by Guenter Sprang presents
a dynamic centerpiece. This stylish
waterfront restaurant with panoramic
views of the marina is perfect for
parties, and events with its vibrant yet
relaxing ambiance.

Architects. From a family of builders, his construction experience started far before his aspirations
to become an architect. After earning his B.S. in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, and
spending time travelling and studying in Mexico, he relocated to Los Angeles for graduate studies at
USC. Licensed in both his native Wisconsin and California, he has developed various project types
throughout Southern California as well as in Shanghai, China. His experience has focused on attention
to detail and managing project teams that can effectively communicate and realize the vision of both
client and designer.

Mr. Husting’s experience includes 22 years as a Senior Associate/Senior Designer with the
renowned hospitality firm WATG in Irvine, CA. During this tenure at WATG Mr. Husting has
been a presenter and lecturer, led the design efforts on more than 60 resorts throughout
the world, and has been recognized by numerous design awards. Mr. Husting leads design
team at Kollin Altomare Architects and provides unique and talented solutions from
design through construction implementation.
