BLOOD WILD
After a sold out run in Montreal, Rabbit in a Hat is proud to bring it’s latest hit “Blood Wild” to the
Next Stage Theatre Festival.
Toronto, January 2016 – Hiding out in a town with no name, the Jackson gang has just pulled off the
ultimate holdup. But when the money goes missing along with their leader, these outlaws are about
to discover just how wild the West can get.
Multi-award winning theatrical sensation, Paul Van Dyck ( Oroonoko, Paradise Lost, 2013 Shaw
Festival Intern Director ) directs his homage to a genre that is rarely seen on stage, the Classic
Western. Riddled with comedy, poetry, and brutality, Blood Wild (New Play Contest Winner, Toronto
Fringe Festival 2014, Best Design, Montreal Fringe Festival 2014) is a fresh take on an old setting.
Starring Montreal’s hottest actors, including Eric Davis (NAC 2013/14 ensemble), Patricia
Summersett (CTV’s 19-2 ), Alex Weiner ( Blue Mountain State ), and David Bâby (Le Théâtre de Nord
Amérique’s Un étrange songe d'une nuit d'été ), along with acclaimed designers Melanie Michaud
( Oroonoko, costumes), Peter Vatsis ( Oroonoko, set) and Jody Burkholder ( Paradise Lost, lights),
Rabbit in a Hat Productions’ Blood Wild will take the Toronto Next Stage Theatre Festival by storm!
