E-Learning:
E-learning is defined as "learning across multiple contexts, through social and content interactions, using
personal electronic devices. A form of e-learning education, users can use mobile device educational technology in many locations at their time convenience.
Mobile E-learning technologies include mobile phones and tablets. This technology focuses on the mobility
of the learner, interacting with portable technologies. Using mobile tools for creating learning aids and
materials becomes an important part of informal learning.
E-learning is convenient in that it is accessible from virtually anywhere. This highly active process has
proven to increase exam scores from the fiftieth to the seventieth percentile, and cut the dropout rate in
technical fields by 22 percent.
E-learning also brings strong portability by replacing books and notes with small devices, filled with
tailored learning contents. In addition, it is simple to utilize mobile learning for a more effective and entertaining experience.
My Alfaisal e-Initiative:
In tune with today’s technologies, The management of Alfaisal University took an initiative to develop the
first official Mobile e-learning Application. This Application acts as the shortest bridge between faculty
and the students to provide them with best of functionality available.
The Application not only provides the course contents but also covers the interactive access to students
for the services right on their screens which include their Schedules, Class Reservations, Results attendance and Calendar Events.
The visionary Initiative taken by Alfaisal will keep on enhancing itself in the shape of new features and
facilities in e-learning with the due course of time.
Getting My Alfaisal Mobile App.
This app is mainly for Android and IOS platform. Available on Google Play Store and Apple itunes App.
Store for free. Any one having an Alfaisal ID can download it on their devices with Android 4+ and IOS
4+.

Main Application Features
User Authentication
Students and Faculty with an Alfaisal ID
can login through their registered Login
details.
Active Directory Search
Users can get instant access to Alfaisal
University faculty and staff members
detail including their office phone
numbers and email addresses.
My Attendance
Only Students can see their course
attendance details entered by the
course instructor in Student Informaiton
System (SIS).
Classroom Reservation
Only Students can reserve a classroom
for their group studies purpose. The
reservation service is only for the
academic purpose and only available on
weekdays. On successful reservation,
student will receive a confirmation email
for their record.
My Courses
Displays the list of courses assigned in
e-Learning portal. Each course has sub
modules such as course participants
and course contents. The faculty
member can only send the “PUSH
Notices” to course participants.
Calendar Events
Course participants can see the
e-Learning calendar events published
by the e-Learning Administrator and
Course Instructors.
My Schedule
Students can see their roster saved in
Student Informaiton System (SIS). My
Alfaisal will remind you for each scheduled class. User can refresh their roster
details by reloading the schedule

My Grades
Students can see their course final
grades entered by the course instructor
in Student Informaiton System (SIS).
The students can see the results only if
their account is not on hold.
