The new Mustang II Front Coil-Over Shock System from Flaming River includes two lightweight, aluminum dual adjustable
shocks and two lightweight high-travel springs plus all necessary
hardware. Each system allows for independent adjustment of
the compression and rebound settings and come in a variety of
spring rates for a number of different driving styles. The shocks
feature an aluminum twin-tube design with a sleek clear anodized finish, and the high-travel springs are engineered with an
expanded body diameter for outstanding performance.
The new DynaForce by MSD performance starter features a
three-horsepower motor and reduced 4.4:1 gear to deliver superior torque
to start highcompression
engines.

most headers and oil

and reliability, each unit is dyno tested and blueprinted before it leaves the
factory. The armature is balanced during assembly and guided

Pro Stock Performance and Machine in Edmonton is hosting its 4th
Annual Show and Shine this year at the shop on 126 Ave., from
11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 15. Registration goes
from 8:00 to 10:30 (only), and the net proceeds benefit their charity,
the Alberta Diabetes Foundation. The event is open to all makes

Ladner Village Quilt Walk & Car Show
The Ladner Village Quilt Walk & Car Show, a unique event that
combines over 400 vehicles on the streets of Ladner, B.C., and
100 quilts in the adjoining shop windows, will be held on Sunday,

combination of feature attractions, with some 30 classes of vehicles

Jellybean AutoCrafters
The Jellybean AutoCrafters Canada
Day Car Show returns this year, at the Jellybean headquarters on 64th
Ave. in Surrey, B.C. It’s an Open House, where you can see the latest
projects these craftsmen are working on. As well, there is a BBQ, live
music by Route 66eh, and fun for the whole family from 10:00 am till 2:00
pm. The Jellybean Fall Colours Tour is a three-day, 1,100-km driving event
that takes in some of BC’s most beautiful scenic sights, small towns,
waterfalls, restaurants & great drives. The event is from September 25th

Another radical custom with many awards was
the ‘59 Chevy Impala “59 Times” of Agostino
Onorato, perhaps the ultimate low rider custom. It
was the feature car in a display of low riders that
was new to the Show, and it brought in many new
fans to see it, along with the expanded custom
motorcycle display in the same building.
Continuing as one of the favourite features at
the Show, the “Fuel and Fire” nitro car and jet
car fire-ups wowed the crowds with their noise
and pyrotechnics.
Over 19,200 people attended the Show over the
three days, one of the best years ever. There was
a record number of both vendors (over 80), and
vehicle builders, and the Show has become “The
Builders’ Show,” where you can come and talk
with them about your dream vehicle. The Show
made a number of leaps forward on the administrative side, with, in particular, registration being
the quickest ever, and the awards ceremony
being completed the earliest ever.

he British Columbia Classic & Custom Car Show celebrated its 19th
successful year in April, and continued its progression of getting bigger and better each year, thanks to sponsors Lucas Oil Products Inc.,
Sherwin-Williams Canada and FBS Distribution Co., who, along with all
the Associate Sponsors, were integral to the Show’s success.
For the first time, the Show welcomed six different celebrity custom car
stars, including legendary Show regulars “The King of Kustomizers”
George Barris and metal master Gene Winfield. Joining the line-up this

year for the first time were three of the best painters and artists in the business – Nub Grafix, the custom motorcycle painter featured on ‘American
Chopper,’ Steve DeMan, custom lowrider painter, and Kenny Youngblood,
drag racing’s premier artist and graphic designer.
The sixth guest celebrity, Chip Foose, has long been known as the world’s
top custom car builder, and he proved that this year, as he was the builder
of the car that won the top honour in the business, the Ridler Award, at
the 2015 Detroit Autorama. That car is the 1965 Chevrolet Impala called
“The Impostor,” and it is owned by Don and Elma Voth of Abbotsford, who
made the arrangements for the car to be shown in their hometown in its first
Canadian appearance. It was the highlight of the Show, and Foose being
there to show it off and explain how he built it was icing on the cake.
