The modular seating system
Gipsy is inspired by
dynamism and flexibility of
daily living.
Intelligent system: in each
module there is, under the
seat, a capacious storage
box where inside can stay
the backrest, the cushion
and the possible armrest. In
this case the dimension of
the packaging are small, in
order to optimize the space
during the shipment and to
reduce the resources of the
delivery.
Functional system: the
storage box is a precious
resource of hausehold-space.
Convertible system: with an
easy manner it is simple to
place inside the backrest and
the soft cushion as well as
the possible armrest,
trasforming an armchair or
a sofa into a pouf, a
relax-element or a coffee
table.
Dynamic system: Gipsy can
be combined in order to
create, for example, a relax
island, a single bed or a
double bed and a

architectural symbol of the
oriental temples, it is the
union between heaven and
earth that breaks the
Western tradition of cutting
the horizontal space.
Ran Library is inspired and
influenced by Japanese and
Chinese temple gates in both
structure andaesthetic
appearance. Ran Library is
a selfsupporting bookcase
that leans up against
thewall as proud and strong
as asamurai warrior. It is
named afterthe iconic film
directed by Japanese
filmmaker Akira Kurosawa.

of Italian design. Rather
conversations, to be precise,
between cultures different
without being foreign,

grand maelstrom of history

artistic and symbolic
contaminations have much

The discovery of African art
by in the last two centuries
revolutionised some of the
