EQUI-SOFT SADDLES
Biomechanical tree that adapts to back
movement
The seat of the biomechanical tree is divided into two parts:
facilitating freedom of movement and relieving pressure on
the horse’s back while adapting to the rider’s movement.
Preventative Seat
The biomechanical tree and special seat relieve pudendal
nerve pressure, helping to prevent injuries in the
reproductive area in both women and men.
Increased ventilation ot the horse’s back
The exclusive biomechanical tree improves aeration around
the horse’s back, aiding in avoiding overheating muscles.

Full Equi-Soft Package
For the whole Equi-Soft saddle package (seat, stirrup bars

Multiple stirrup bar positions
The multiple stirrup bar positions swings with the rider’s
leg movement. The swinging stirrup is adjustable to four
positions allowing the rider to change seat position quickly
and easily. Its distinctive insertion into the tree distributes
the weight of the rider in a more effective manner.

Girth straps with elastic bands
The girth straps with elastic rings help relieve pressure,
improve breathing, and allow expansion of the horse’s rib

Stübben has partnered with Biomex* Technology Center,
the leading hospital for orthopedics and sports medicine
in Switzerland, to create an innovative seat design that
greatly reduces a rider’s back pain. Introducing the Stübben
Biomex*... it will revolutionize your idea of a comfortable
saddle.
Many riders (studies say over half) suffer from back pain,
especially after they ride. When riding on a horse, the force
exerted on the spine flows mainly through the seat bones.
Pressure on these seat bones and the extremely sensitive soft
tissues around them can cause pain. The Stübben Biomex*
cushions the seat bones with two kidney-shaped pads,
which absorb impact and relieve spinal stress. In addition,
the depression between the kidney-shaped pads also plays a
crucial role, as it substantially lessens any possible pressure on
the soft tissues surrounding the seat bones (see the oval areas
on the diagrams at the right). In scientific comparisons with
conventional saddles, seat pressure measurements at various
gaits show that the Stübben Biomex* provides much greater
relief in the seat bone area and the surrounding soft tissues.

S Portos has a newly designed seat based on our state of the art

The S Zaria jumping saddle has advantages built right into it. With
a jumping block (molded into the flap) for security and reference,
this 1/2 deep , refined square cantle saddle has snug fit panels and

D Genesis

Euphoria’s extra deep seat (with the new “Free Move” technology),
is combined with our patented NT spring tree. The narrow twist,
which is appreciated by female riders, and our special padding,

position is ensured by the high pommel and the knee rolls which
are padded in super soft leather. The stirrup leather loops are

D Maestoso
1894
Stübben has combined it’s top quality craftsmanship with its best
price yet. The 1894 comes standard with a special deluxe leather,
narrow twist tree, a stabilizing billet system and gusset panels.
Special features include patent leather accents, larger channel
space, and a special soft seat. Available only in a 17”, 17.5”, and 18”
seat sizes and 28cm to XW tree.
The D Maestoso combines four important features: looks, depth,
comfort and close contact. This model is not a traditional Stübben
dressage saddle. It is built on an ultra-deep seat and has a thin
long knee roll. While the tree is still flexible and absorbs part of the
rider’s weight, it allows the rider to sit very deep and provides a
more secure seat. Also available in a Deluxe model.
D Aramis
The D Aramis is based on a saddle tree which is precondition for a
deep and comfortable seat and thus offers proximity to the horse
and facilitates the precise positioning of aids. Saddle flap and panel
have a comparatively generous forward cut. This makes D Aramis
particularly suitable for riders whose upper thigh is proportionally
longer than their lower leg. The standard medium elongated knee roll
type offers sufficient support, even with horses with big movements.

This saddle combines the security and connection of our classic
Icelandic saddles with the comfort of our Portos saddle. This
option is our softest Icelandic and built with our “snug” panel
system making it an economical choice. The Portos II Icelandic is
the same model but with a flatter seat.
This aptly named saddle has features that make it a unique
Icelandic saddle. With a padded and contoured jockey skirt (to be
free and clear of accessories), and a substantial block covered and
well cushioned front, this two-tone saddle has it all. The Biomex
seat and wool flocking are standard equipment. Also features
D-rings in the rear, a gusset panel, crupper loop, long billets, and
hidden stirrup leather location.
Our Icelandic saddles were designed in collaboration with the
master trainer Mr. Benedikt G. Lindal, a leading authority on
Icelandic horses with more than 35 years of experience. These
models are built on a modified spring tree whose deepest part
lies further back than on a traditional Stübben tree and extends
over a longer surface. The tree, in combination with special flaps
and panels tailored to the Icelandic breed, provides a high level
of comfort and is perfectly suited to the different motions of the
gaited horse. But, the Icelandic models can be used with nongaited horses as well, and will provide great comfort to the trail and
long distance rider.

Equi-Soft Girths
The Equi-Soft girth, when properly adjusted, effectively deals with
constriction by giving in all directions and markedly reducing
tension. This frees the underlying musculature, allows better
circulation, and decreases the restriction of motion of the gut. As
respiration is enhanced and the horse experiences less discomfort,
pulse rate has been shown to be reduced during exercise. Since
the muscles are less restricted, lateral flexibility is enhanced as well
as the horse’s ability to employ the external obliques, serratus and
other abdominal muscles necessary to support the topline. This
is manifested in greater extension of the foreleg and more active
employment of the hind quarters.
