here supporting our PTA fundraising event.
The proceeds from our Auction are used to support the following areas:
Instructional
Supplies, Kid Lab, Technology, Field Trips, SCA, World
Language Immersion Program, French Interns, French Fun Night, Safety
Is, Clubs, International Night, Teacher Appreciations,
the Scholars'

SILENT AUCTION RULES AND GUIDELINES
Welcome to the Annual Silent Auction! Given here is some information meant to malce the evening more enjoyable for
everyone and to answer some questions you may have about the process and schedule. Please remember that all proceeds of
this evening's event go to the HES PTA General Fund, and ultimately benefit our school and its students. We hope that you
will bid generously!
1)
There will be four closing periods for the Auction tonight. Groups of items will be closed in (approximately) the
order displayed, from lowest to highest numbers. Some items may be placed a bit out of sequence due to size and
space available. Each bid sheet, located with the item offered lists a minimum acceptable opening bid, and the
minimum raise required to increase the bid. A person desiring to bid does so by C L E A R L Y writing his/her name
and the AMOUNT of his/her bid on the sheet. The next interested bidder should then write his/her own name and
higher bid on the next line. You may bid as many times as you like by placing your new bid on the succeeding
line. P L E A S E DO NOT M A R K T H R O U G H ANY O T H E R BU)DER'S INFORMATION I f you need to
remove your own bid, please see a volunteer to have them initial the change.

There will be a 5-minute "warning" for the closing of each section of items. At the closing period, all bidding on
that section must cease. Please respect the closing time of the table. No bids should be written after the fact! Fair
play and good sponsorship should be followed at all times as an example to our children.

The highest valid bid at the close constitutes the successful bid. Please clearly print your full name on the bid
sheets. I f there is any unfair conduct during bidding, the item will be removed from the table and offered in a live
auction after the table closes The Auction Chairperson Nicole Wickenheiser will settle any disputes. The
Chairperson's decision is flnal.

Payments will be taken at the Cashier's Table after the close of each section. Items will be stored there until
payment is received. Please do not remove any auction items from the bidding table or Cashier's Table.
Volunteers will be on hand to assist with this and keep order. Payment and pick up of items is expected by the end
of the evening. We cannot be responsible for items left past 9:30p.m. Payments may be made by cash or check.
Sorry, no credit cards are accepted. Please make your checks payable to "HES PTA".

In the event you must leave prior to the end of the auction, please make every effort to have a friend handle your
payment and pickup. See the cashier if you wish to leave a check for a possible winning bid in her care.

No sealed bids will be accepted.
7)
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges on auction items will be permitted. Everything is sold "as is".
8)
Please note that some auction and raffle items may have restricted use or qualifications that may affect the value,
application, or use to the bidder. Some items are subject to availability and require advance reservations. Not all
restaurants include tax, alcoholic beverages and gratuities in their offer.
