The IMC Web Warehouse™ is leading the way in adopting the AAIA industry standards for parts classification
and cataloging. The adoption of these standards will make it easier for IMC customers to find parts. IMC has
created a quick review of search options for looking up parts in the IMC Web Warehouse.
There are many ways to find parts in the IMC Web Warehouse:
a) Year/Make/Model Search b) Enter the Part Number c) Keyword Search d) Search by VIN e) Common Jobs

Category Quick Reference
IMC has updated the look and features of the IMC Web Warehouse to go with the new part category standards
and we have created a quick overview of some of the enhancements. The AAIA standard breaks down parts
in three levels from broad to narrow. Category is the broadest and includes terms like Engine, Cooling,
Suspension, etc. The sub-category is just that, a pool of terms used to describe areas within that specific
system of the car. As an example let’s take Emission Control.

There were general categories in the previous version of the IMC Web Warehouse, like filters and belts. With the
example above in mind, here are a few pointers as to where some of these key items have been re-categorized.
Filters
Filters are now broken down by the system within the vehicle that each filter resides. Oil filters are now under
the Engine category air and fuel filters are now found under Air & Fuel Delivery and cabin filters are now found
under the HVAC category.
Oxygen Sensors
O2 sensors are now found under the Emission Control category, sub-category Sensors, sub-category Oxygen
Sensor. (Example on Page 1)

Sub-categories have been clarified to make it easier to find what you are looking for faster.

Electrical has been divided into two categories, Electrical–Charging & Starting; and Electrical–Lighting & Body
Spark Plugs
Spark plugs can be found under the Ignition category, sub-category Secondary Ignition and then select Spark
Plug.
Belts
If you want an Engine Timing Belt you select the Engine category, sub-category Valve Train Components and then
select Engine Timing Belt.
Another way to find belts is to use the keyword search box after you have completed a year, make and model
search. If you selected a 2003 Toyota Camry and typed Belts in the keyword search box you would get the
following result:

When you find the sub-category you are looking for, in this case oxygen sensors the parts are sorted by location
and engine type to ensure you find exactly the part you want. Click on the “down” () arrow to open the listing,
check pricing, availability and order the part.
