We are as excited about this group of females and yearling bulls as any group
we have ever offered to date. We have been breeding bucking bulls for over 30
years now and we still strive everyday to make them better.
Through the years we have figured out there is consistency in the production
of the great cow families. So, we have basically sorted our cowherd down to those
proven families. As you look at the pedigrees you will see what we are talking
about; 85% of the offering goes back to seven great cows, 590, 755, 16, 418,
625, 205, and 10. The ones that don’t go back to these females weren’t bred here
they were hand selected to bring in outcross genetics. You are buying proven
genetics!
We have been very fortunate in the past several years to have had some incredible sales. The past year, like most other breeds of cattle and businesses, some of
the markets have been a little softer. So with that in mind we have reached deep
into the heart of our program to offer the best set of females possible. All markets fluctuate but you don’t get many chances to buy the great females, so make
your selections and buy the good ones. Good females will always prove to be the
best buys.
Three years ago we started offering the top cut of our yearling bulls in this
sale. This is the first year we have ever bucked our yearling bulls. HD selected
the bulls on a combination of pedigree and their bucking ability. We will buck
the bulls a second time prior to the sale and show that video sale day. The yearling bulls selling will be eligible to come back to the D&H and Buck Incentive
Futurity next year which pays $15,000 to the winner.
We would like to send out a huge thank you to the PBR and the ABBI for
what they have done for our industry. We also want to thank the guys that work
so hard to make it happen for us here at home every day; Johnny Allen, Jackie
Hunter, Buddy Lewis, and our great neighbor Cliff Wiggins.

HD handpicked this set of yearling bulls out of 150 head. This is the first year we have ever bucked our yearlings. This set was selected by their performance on the first
trip along with pedigree, We believe this is the best set of yearlings we have ever offered. We will buck
these bulls a second time prior to sale day and will have those videos available for viewing prior to the
sale. We breed to yearling bulls each year and no doubt there are several of these we wouldn’t think
twice about breeding to this year. So if that is something you are interested in please contact us.
D&H Cattle Company has been fortunate in the Futurity and Classic events the past four years. We
know our claim to fame isn’t Futurity bulls and that’s not our main goal. We want bulls that can win
in the Classics and make it in the PBR.
Several of these bulls are paid current for the 2011 American Heritage, and all of the yearling bulls selling are eligible for the 2011 D&H and Buck Incentive Futurity, which will be held following the 2011
American Heritage. Only the bulls selling in this sale will be eligible to compete in the Incentive
Futurity which will payout over $30,000.
Fifty percent interest is being offered in some of the bulls selling. If you purchase one of these bulls, D&H
Cattle Company will provide feed, care, and management. The buyer pays 100% of the entry fees and
50% of all vet bills. The income will be divided equally. The buyer can breed to that bull for 45 days
