Engines Compressors Pumps Rev. 2010 Reg/Regi Technologies Reg/Regi Technologies has developed break-through power technology that will capitalize on current global energy costs and global warming concerns by: Producing lighter weight and more energy efficient engine, compressor and pump applications Utilizing current oil and gas supplies more efficiently, increasing the miles per gallon in autos and planes and reducing the demand for oil from the Middle East Use of alternative fuels - can run on Biofuels, Natural Gas, etc. RadMax™ Design SIMPLICITY Only 2 unique moving parts, the vanes (up to 12) and rotor – does not use pistons, valves or spark plugs reducing assembly and maintenance costs POWER Up to 24 combustion events, or 48 compression or pumping actions per revolution Variable compression ratio (up to 24 psi) allows for use of multiple fuels EFFICIENCY 1 HP for every 1 LB of weight (compared to a piston engine which requires 6 LBS for 1 HP) Quiet and Vibration free Bringing RadMax™ to Market Our Plans … Manufacture or participate in joint ventures to manufacture RadMax™ technology devices for specific applications (Currently working with a Fortune 1000 Company) License Radmax™ technology to existing engine, compressor and pump manufacturing companies and new technology and environmentally oriented companies interested in efficient, lightweight products Develop military applications by pursuing military/government contracts and joint ventures Targeted Engine Applications A $200 Billion Market! Lighter/smaller diesel engine replacement Aircraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) Hybrid electric vehicles Power generation Motorcycles Small engine and portable power tools Heavy equipment & construction Recreational vehicles Marine RadMax™ is an economical, fuel efficient alternative to any existing piston engine application! The entire engine global community is seeking a more fuel efficient application with the current high price of oil. Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting New York City September 2009 “Clean Machine to Keep the Earth Green” We commit to contribute to an overall reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and fuel consumption through developing for commercialization the Radmax® rotary technology, used in the green design of lightweight and high efficiency engines, compressors, and pumps. President Clinton and John Robertson, President of Reg/REGI U.S. Inc., discuss the RadMax® Rotary Engine and examine a small model demonstrating the technology. REGI Demonstrates Technology To U.S. Senator Thune … April, 2007 “With national concerns of global warming and the supply of oil from the middle east, technology like the RadMax® engine could not have come along at a better time,” says Robertson. “We look forward to continuing our discussions with Senator John Thune’s office and to prospective meetings with the U.S. military, environmental agencies, and the departments of Commerce and Transportation” Senator John Thune (R-SD) is Chief Deputy Whip of the Senate and serves on the Committee on Armed Services; the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry; the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation; and the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. The agreement covers the evaluation of RadMax® technology by the Company and REGI to determine if the RadMax® technology meets the Company’s requirements for certain commercial and military market applications. REGI granted the Company an option for a period of 90 days after the completion of the evaluation period to execute a Letter of Intent to exclusively license REGI’s Rotary Engine IP on reasonable commercial terms for certain commercial and military markets. REGI also granted the Company the option, for a period of 12 months after the completion of the evaluation period, to execute a Letter of Intent to nonexclusively license REGI’s Rotary Engine IP on reasonable commercial terms for certain commercial and military markets. RADMAX Diesel Engine Roadmap, Plan, Schedule and Budget … Phase 1 Phase 2 Phase 3 Conceptual Design Preliminary Design Detail Design (Completed pre-2009) (Completed end 2009) (To Be Completed mid-year 2010) - Determine the risks and benefits of RadMax - Complete the design and fabrication of critical, related applications: the RadMax Pump (verifies functionality), and the RadMax Compressor (verifies high temperature metal seals). - By analysis, verify the RadMax rotary vane concept would produce power like a piston engine, at a significantly lower weight and size. - Built and demonstrated RadMax liquid pump - Completed end of 2009 - Evaluated and analyzed several different design approaches for vanes, seals and thermal control - Conducted preliminary stress analysis on vanes and apex seals. Conclusion: vanes must be controlled by an external mechanism to maintain a fixed distance from the cam throughout the rotation. - Expanded objectives for RadMax demonstrator to include combustion and higher speed operation. - Developed and analyzed preliminary designs for thermal control and lubrication systems. - Retained engineering analysis organization to provide independent validation of all RadMax design elements: functions, tolerances, and material selections. - Verified environmental conditions (temperatures, pressures, centrifugal forces, etc.). - Identified components that require detail stress and strain analysis. - Perform complete integration of all of components and evaluate their performance and strength under non-operating and operating conditions. Phase 4 Demonstrator Fabrication and Test (To Be Completed end 2010) - Fabricate and test demonstrator (estimated 2 to 3 months). - Built and functionally verify a test stand. - Install demonstrator engine on test stand, test all fluid lines, and verify that instruments are calibrated. - Engine testing initially verifies mechanical integrity of the engine. - Next, the RadMax engine is motor driven. Compression and temperatures of the combustion chamber are measured. - After satisfactory compression and temperature measurements are achieved, the RadMax engine is brought up in speed and load. - After several test runs, the engine is disassembled for inspection to determine effects on the components. - Engine testing is a multiple stage process. It is estimated to require 3 to 6 months to complete. Contact Us Reg Technologies, Inc REGI U.S., Inc.
