TAMARA SILLS
CORAL – Tamara Sills, age 52 of Coral, passed away on
April 2, at her residence. She was born March 8, 1963 in
Lakeview, MI, the daughter of Paul and Marjorie (Miller)
Johnson. During her working years she worked as a cook for
over thirty five years. She loved decorating, crafts, camping,
fishing, knitting, crocheting. She loved her dogs. On July 11,
2014 she married Raymond Scott Sills who survives. Also
surviving are her mother Marjorie Johnson of Big Rapids,
sisters; Debra (Roger) Hayman of Howard City, Cheryl Smith
of Coral, a brother PJ (Mandy) Johnson of Wyoming and
many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She
was preceded in death by her father Paul. As to her wishes
cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will take
place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Heckman
Funeral Home.

In 2012, I discovered an amazing weight control program called Sheila Granger’s Virtual Gastric Band Hypnosis. Here is what I wrote
about it in January 2013:
Well, everyone, the holidays are finally over and we can get back to real life. But then there is our health. And some of us went way
overboard and gained a bunch of weight with all the parties and celebrations since Thanksgiving Day.
But this is not the case with a group of people who have attended The Virtual Gastric Band Hypnosis program. In the month of
November and December, over 20 people have completed this program. All of them either eliminated weight or maintained their
weight through this difficult time of the year. And all have a huge head start on the New Year.
This program teaches eating and food awareness. It is not a diet. You can eat anything you want. Because you feel full faster, you
automatically eat less. If you reduce your food intake by 100 calories per day, in one year, you will eliminate ten pounds. The opposite
is also true. This is how people gradually become bigger.
One of our graduates tells about going to the theater. Instead of eating a gigantic bucket of popcorn, using both hands to shovel it
in, she bought a small bag. Eating just one kernel at a time and enjoying the taste of each bite, she ate only half the bag through the
whole movie.
Another graduate writes that she eliminated 13 pounds in the first three weeks. A young man who started the first class, but never
completed it because of work conflicts, has eliminated over 20 pounds in five weeks.
One woman tearfully writes, “My husband bought a necklace for me on Sweetest Day, but I couldn’t wear it because it was too tight
on my neck. After five weeks on this program, I can wear this necklace and it feels so good. Thank you!”
“I had to cut and sell a lot of firewood to pay for this program, but it was well worth it,” one graduate told us.

In Texas it’s criminal to interrupt, disrupt, impede, or otherwise “interfere” with “public duties,” including police
duties. Outraged by the public cry to reign in police brutality, Rep. Jason Villalba (R-Dallas) has proposed to define
“interfere” to include “filming, recording, photographing, or documenting the officer within 25 feet of the officer,”
thus making it illegal for anyone, including a person being beaten, to film an officer who is beating him. Apparently
Villalba’s Twitter followers deluged him with criticism, so he’s willing to limit the distance to 15 feet now. Really?
