Muy Grande Hunting Ranch / Resort
Billy was a counselor at a summer football camp and met ex NFL Lion,
Tony Semple while he was there. Tony Semple created a foundation to
help handicapped kids go on extravagant hunting trips.
Billy made contact with Tony a few weeks ago and they booked a spot for
Jimmy on a hunt this week at the Muy Grande Hunting Ranch / Resort.
Wowl Just checking out the website, I want to go there!
The TS foundation pays for everything. They outfit him with all the
clothting / hunting gear that he needs. lt's sponsored by all the brand
name clothing and gun outfitters. They have to rig the guns for some of
the kids who can't pull triggers because of their handicaps, but Jimmy will
obviously be fine. I think he ls actually bringing one of his own guns?
We figure by the end of the week, he'll be a spokesperson for Muy
Grande!
So the wylie hunters are off this a.m. Jimmy got to bring one guest, so he
picked Billy. I think they check in al 11am? They'll be there 9/9 - 9/12.

There is quite a story as to how this buck was taken. I could never do
justice by blogging it, you have to hear it in person. So next time you see
Jimmy or Billy... ask them to tell you the story.

Cactus Bowl 2008
Here's some details of their week at Muy Grande,
Jimmy and Billy had an awesome time up at the ranch. They had a guide
and a camera crew with them the whole week. Jimmy's hunt was taped
and may be aired on an ESPN hunting show next fall.

4 or 5 other hunters were there with them. One girl in her early 20s was
dying from cancer. Another kid has a dìsease that caused him to be in a
wheelchair. One boy was born with arms only to his elbows; he had nubs
for fingers at the ends of his arms, Jimmy said he could shoot skeet and
play the guitar like no other. I can't remember the details of the other
hunters that were there.
All hunters were successful. They all took at least an 8pt buck. Jimmy
said the deer will score 1'15-140 class (whatever that means?) Jimmy
was the last one to shoot his buck... he was very patient. His patience
paid off because his deer was the biggest one taken that week!
When I get some more pics from Jimmy, l'll post them on the blog.
