Pedro Tomas
Hotel Dreams Palm Beach
Born February 13, 1983 to a Lebanese father and Panamanian mother in Santo Domingo, Dominican
Republic. Raised and educated in the city.
Earned a degree in Tourism and Hotel Industry Management and a Masters degree in Hotel
Management at Saint Paul de Mar in Barcelona.
Introduced to the hotel business at a young age, I was attracted to something trivial as being in an
environment where elegance, sophistication and details play a leading role. I realized afterwards that what
made me continue is the fact of being able to touch so many lives in this massive business (employees,
clients, suppliers, interaction with the community and its development).
Started as a bartender / waiter in a catering company in Europe while finishing my studies. At the age
of 25 I occupied a position of Resident Manager, receiving a promotion to General Manager at the age of
27, managing a hotel of 500 rooms with 750 employees. Proud to form part of AM Resorts for 8 years,
company which opened its doors to me at an important time, making me part of its team while expanding.
Among my personal achievements is building a house to a staff member. A third year in a row we have
developed this work, fortifying my desire to keep operating in a sustainable manner with the community.
