Currently 36 retired priests, and 10 active priests age 70 and older, are expected to receive pension benefits of $793,400 in 2014-15. Also 95% of the cost of health insurance premiums for retired priests is paid by the Plan. Your generous contribution not only supports current retirees but will also help provide for the retirement needs of priests who will retire in the future. Saint Cecilia and Queen of Heaven Catholic Churches December 20, 2015 DECEMBER 20: FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT Readings: Mi 5:1-4a/Heb 10:5-10/Lk 1:39-45 We have a beautiful gospel today. Mary set out in haste to visit Elizabeth and what follows is a joyful greeting between the women and their infants. Today a lot of our interactions are no longer face to face, in person. We text and email and connect on facebook and twitter. But we are called to be Christbearers like Mary. We are called to share the gift of faith and salvation that we have received. Perhaps this week we can make an effort to be truly present to others, to visit a neighbor in need or an elderly relative who might be lonely, and in so doing, bring the love of Christ. Have a blessed Christmas. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: CONGRATULATIONS TO QUEEN OF HEAVEN ~ FIRST PLACE WINNERS~ IN THE HENDERSON DECORATING CONTEST. GREAT JOB..
