Nike Football Camps are
designed for boys aged 10–17
and girls aged 10–14. Every
camp delivers outstanding
football coaching and an
accelerated model of
English learning.
30 hours of English Language
lessons and 35 hours of training,
games and football coaching.
Leading the camp at Lancing
College will be a team of coaches
from Brighton & Hove Albion
Soccer Schools. Players will work
on all aspects of their game as well
as enjoying excursions, evening
activities and access to the
players’ lounge.
THE FOOTBALL
Created by the award winning
coaching team at Brighton & Hove
Albion FC, the football curriculum will
be similar to that followed by many
young elite and professional players.
The Football
• Football coaching and games: 35 hours
• Players per group: average of 14, selected by
age and ability
• Football skills covered: skills, game
understanding, team work, tactics, set plays
and long-term athlete development
• Training grounds: Lancing College and
BHAFC’s American Express Elite Football
Performance Centre
• Training partners: English players and teams
• Seminar topics: match analysis, diet
and nutrition, sports psychology, game
preparation, sports injury management and
leadership
• Individual coach assessment and
development plan for each player

and training partner for Nike
Football Camps UK 2016.
Founded in 1901, Brighton & Hove
Albion FC currently plays at the top of
the Championship. The team’s awardwinning home ground, the American
Express Community Stadium, was
opened in 2011 with a capacity of
30,000.
The AmEx Stadium
Brighton & Hove Albion’s Academy
holds Category One status, the highest
standard in English football. The club’s
state-of-the-art training complex in
Lancing, the American Express Elite
Football Performance Centre, was
completed in the summer of 2014.
The new training ground has 5 1st team
pitches, 7 Academy pitches, 1 indoor
pitch and 1 community pitch.

Throughout the camp, English lessons
are supported by a fully immersive
language experience, with all activities,
training and sports seminars delivered
in English.
Did you know?
The focus on communication in
our project work helps students
prepare for exams such as
IGCE, IELTS, Trinity, Cambridge,
ESB, GCSE and CAE.
The end-of-camp report includes an
individual written assessment from their
teacher with advice on how to further
develop their language skills.
Project work
Students will put their classroom
learning into context with a team
project, such as a creating a camp
magazine. Students will practise
communication, reading and writing
skills with tasks including:
• Interviewing players and
coaches to create profiles
• Producing diary extracts
and articles
• Researching sports-related
media articles
• Creating a press release

Situated high up on a hill near
Brighton and overlooking the
sea, Lancing College is one of
Britain’s great private schools.
The college is just 15 minutes
from Brighton and next to
the coast. Since the College
was founded in 1848, it has
developed a wide reputation
for academic and sporting
achievement.
With 8 grass football pitches,
3 all-weather pitches, an
indoor sports hall and a 25
metre swimming pool, Lancing
College is the perfect home for
Nike Football Camps in the UK.

tour of London will
guide students through
the historic city to
see iconic English
landmarks, including
a trip on the London
Eye. Students will also
visit NIKETOWN in Oxford Street, where
they will have a guided tour and an
opportunity to shop in the celebrated
football section.

to take part in some
fun seaside activities,
including a visit to the
famous Brighton Pier.
