The YogaSkills Healing Sun Kemetic Yoga Retreat and Teacher Training & Certification
Course offers you the unique opportunity to learn the state of the art systems of Kemetic
Yoga™ and YogaSkills Method™ (YSM), gaining your 200 hour Yoga Alliance
recognized certification, while in the healing tranquility and luxury of Jamaica.
While with us you will arise daily to the nutritious and cleansing power of fresh coconut
water straight from the tree which will provide you the fluids and electrolytes needed to
fuel your morning Yoga practice.
At various times during the day you will enjoy a delicious fresh tropical fruit smoothie
made with super foods such as Maca, Spirulina, Bee Pollen and Moringa, fresh fruit
plate, green leafy vegetable salad and soup. Your dinners will consist of options such as
stir fried or steam vegetable dishes, whole grains, salads, soups or raw live dishes.
Our philosophy is that for these 10 days you will be able to cleanse and detox from the
standard foods you might eat and transform into better and more enlightened eating
habits. The Kemetic Yoga Diet is a plant based regimen that reverses degenerative
diseases, strengthens digestion and elimination, helps with weight loss if needed and also
will allow you to go deeper into your practice of Yoga by keeping your body light and
strong.

swimming pool at Milbrooks Resort you will have a trip to the beach, the mineral bath at
Firewater, Yoga practice and water fall bathing at Shaw Park Gardens and a nature walk
at Camp Milbrooks in the Mountains outside of Montego Bay.

Our Field trips will be scheduled and announced at the beginning of the retreat.
On the final day of the retreat we will have ceremony where your certificates of

Upon arrival in Montego you will be picked up and transported to Milbrooks to
relax, find your room and meet your roommate.
Our orientation and dinner will begin at 6:00 PM followed by evening meditation,
intention setting discussion and ritual.

Please book your flight to arrive any time before 6:00 PM on August 14, 2013
Please book your flight to leave any time on August 24th.
The same applies if you are planning to attend the January 23 to February 1, 2014
retreat.
Please read this message and print it out. It contains much information that you
will need including contact information on the resort we will be staying in case
something happens before or during your arrival at the Montego Bay airport.
The information below is needed for your immigration papers upon arrival in
Jamaica. These will be provided to you on your plane.

On your immigration papers please check VACATION!
Please keep this information with you in case you have problems at the airport. You will
also have to provide this information when you fill out immigration papers on the
airplane. Please do not forget your passport. It is advisable to make a couple of copies of
your passport just in case you lose it. Remember you cannot travel internationally
without a current passport.
Airport Pickup: Please walk outside of the terminal and wait at the curb for pick
up!
You will be picked up at the time your flight arrives by Milbrooks Resort staff. Do
not let anyone else take you. If your pick up is late just wait or call the local Jamaican
number above. We will find you and make sure you are picked up. If your flight is
going to be late or delayed please call either the number above or call my cell phone at
773 396-6613 and leave a message with your name airline and expected arrival time.
Please make sure that you send me your flight information if you have not done so yet. I
need to know your airline, flight number, departure city, departure time and all layover
information and most importantly what time you arrive in Montego Bay.
Clothing and Luggage:
Jamaica is warm year round. You can expect temperatures in the mid to high 70s-80s
into the 90s during the day and cooler at night. Rain is always a possibility at some point
in the day, but overall you will only need warm weather clothes. Irons and ironing boards
are available for you to use.

Light loose fitting workout clothes for sweating (I like coolmax of other moisture
wicking fabric myself)
Comfortable casual clothes for lounging or going to the market, beach, etc.
Gym shoes, sandals and flip flop shoes or waterproof sandals for the beach
Something nice, light and casual to wear on our last day when we will have an
ending celebration.

Again if you can limit the number of checked bags you will have less chance of
having something lost during transfers. If you do check a bag make sure you
bring you toiletries and a change of clothes or two with you in your carryon.

Gratuities:
The staff at Milbrooks Resort will work very hard to take care of us. Please try to
contribute $75.00 per person at the end of our visit to be divided among the staff. If you
want to give something separate to someone in addition you can. Please bring cash
Transportation:
Transportation to and from the airport, one shopping trip and one trip to the beach is
included in your fee. If you decide to make additional trips there will be a fee. You will
either have to arrange for taxi or have the house van transport you if it is available.
Yoga Schedule:
The primary purpose of our retreat is to practice and hone our skills in Yoga. Others will
become certified as instructors in Kemetic Yoga and the YogaSkills Method.
Each morning we will have a meditation and movement session. Throughout the day
there will be lectures on Yoga and additional practice sessions. Some of the workout
sessions will take place on the grounds of East of Eden and others will be near the beach
or at a local park depending on the conditions. A more detailed Yoga schedule will be
provided to you later.
Food:
All meals are included in your package. All meals are vegan with a mixture of live
dishes and some cooked meals.
We will have an abundance of coconut water in the mornings and fresh fruit smoothies
after our morning workouts. Lunch (fruit) and dinner will be provided daily. We will try
to eat as much live food as possible. In addition to coconut water we will have sufficient
amounts of bottled water available. It is important that you stay sufficiently hydrated
because you will sweat as a consequence of our workouts. Of course you can pace
yourself and rest whenever you feel necessary. You should bring a water bottle to store
coconut water in and also bring your own snacks, herb teas, spices and sweeteners that
you might prefer.
Changing Money:
It is best change over some money into Jamaican dollars when you arrive. Do not do this
at the airport. We will make arrangements for you to change money after your arrival.

We will make 3 trips during the retreat that will require an extra expenditure on your part
