WHAT IS SIEP???
Students In Enterprise Programme (SIEP)

Students will be placed in various industry / company and will
gain exposure in the cultural aspects of entrepreneurship,
building a business idea, idea generation for creativity and
innovation, prepare business proposals, and organizational
leadership challenges in the world of business and
entrepreneurship.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Gain awareness and internalisation of the concept of entrepreneurship
2. Acculturate and adapt to the activity operator / dealer
3. Develop ideas for a business
4. Generate ideas and consider creativity and innovation to improve
marketing.
5. Generate knowledge to initiate action to prepare a business proposal.
6. Instil confidence in the conduct of business and compare an
organization's approach to leadership
7. Get real exposure to the challenges of business and industry
Course learning outcomes:
At the end of this course, students are able to:
1. Menyediakan maklumat perniagaan dan keusahawanan melalui pembentangan secara
individu (C2, A1, CS3)
Prepare business and entrepreneurship information and solving it through presentation.
(C2, A1, CS3)
2. Mengenalpasti peluang dan sumber perniagaan secara kritikal menggunakan kemahiran
berurusan. (C2,P3)
Identify opportunities and resources to critically use the skills to deal.(C2, P3)
3. Mengadaptasi kemahiran teknikal dalam produk melalui bimbingan yang betul untuk
mengorganisasikan dan membina cadangan perniagaan yang baik (C3, A3, ES1, LS2)
Adapt technical skills in product through proper guidance to organize and build a good
business plan (C3, A3, ES1, LS2)

INTRODUCTION

This program is mandatory for all students
FSB.

SIEP will be performed by THREE (3) times
during the semester break as shown in Table
1.

Students must find and choose their own
SIEP training place.

Students need to prepare a business
proposal after completed SIEP 3.

INTRODUCTION
• Minimum period of 10 working days. If more
than 10 days must be with the consent of the
supervisor and the owner of the premises
where SIEP.
• Each SIEP has a specific goal in modules.
SIEP 1 (Cuti Semester 2- Tahun 1)
Di antara tugas yang perlu dilaksanakan adalah:

Menjalankan pemerhatian dan kaji selidik terhadap suatu operasi perniagaan yang berdaftar.

Membuat analisis Kekuatan Kelemahan Peluang dan Ancaman atau Strength Weaknesses
Opportunity Threat (SWOT) terhadap aktiviti perniagaan berdasarkan kepada potensi
pasaran, strategi pemasaran, organisasi dan sumber manusia, isu dan masalah pelanggan.

Memberikan pandangan secara keseluruhan tentang analisis yang telah dilakukan
Objektif:

Memupuk kesedaran dan memberi pendedahan kepada pelajar mengenai konsep dan aktiviti
keusahawanan di premis perniagaan.

Meningkatkan kemahiran berkomunikasi di kalangan pelajar dalam memperolehi maklumat
yang diperlukan.

Berkebolehan membuat analisis terhadap strategi pemasaran di premis perniagaan.
Penilaian pelajar:

Log kerja harian – 500 patah perkataan (10 hari)

Laporan akhir – 2,000 patah perkataan

Video log harian dan pembentangan – 20 minit
SIEP 2 (Cuti Semester 2- Tahun 2)
Di antara tugas yang perlu dilaksanakan adalah:

Membuat penilaian terhadap elemen-elemen rancangan perniagaan iaitu tinjauan pasaran,
operasi, kewangan, pembangunan produk dan lain-lain yang berkaitan.

Membuat pemerhatian terhadap aspek penyeliaan perniagaan termasuk penyeliaan staf serta
peranan kepimpinan dalam kalangan pelajar ketika berada di premis perniagaan.

Mencadangkan penambahbaikan terhadap premis perniagaan berdasarkan elemen-elemen
yang dinilai.
Objektif:

Menjana ilmu pengetahuan sebagai persediaan awal bagi menyediakan rancangan
perniagaan.

Memupuk semangat keyakinan dan kemahiran kepimpinan untuk mengendalikan perniagaan.

Membina kemahiran dalam pengurusan sumber manusia, pengurusan risiko serta membuat
perancangan dan halatuju bagi aktiviti perniagaan.
Penilaian pelajar:

Log kerja harian – 500 patah perkataan (10 hari)

Laporan akhir – 2,000 patah perkataan

Video log harian dan pembentangan – 20 minit
SIEP 3 (Cuti Semester 1- Tahun 3)
Di antara tugas yang perlu dilaksanakan adalah:

Menyediakan rancangan perniagaan yang lengkap meliputi elemen-elemen
pemasaran, operasi, kewangan, sumber manusia dan lain-lain yang berkaitan.

Membuat pembentangan rancangan perniagaan kepada penasihat akademik.
Objektif:

Memberi pendedahan sebenar tentang cabaran dalam dunia perniagaan.

Membina kemahiran dalam pengurusan kewangan, pemasaran, pengendalian
masalah dan risiko, pengurusan dan kepimpinan serta kemahiran komunikasi
berkesan dalam melaksanakan aktiviti keusahawanan.
Penilaian pelajar:

Log kerja harian – 500 patah perkataan (10 hari)

Rancangan perniagaan – 2,000 patah perkataan

Pembentangan rancangan perniagaan – 20 minit
INTRODUCTION
•
It is the responsibility of the student to find a SIEP
training place.
•
Students are advised to find and select the relevant
training and deemed appropriate by the program.
However, the supervisor (PA) should guide the
students.
•
Students are advised to choose the SIEP training
location near to their home.
•
The place or company that has been selected by the
students can not be the same program with industrial
training.
HOW ????
SIEP 1,2 & 3

Student will be placed in industry/premis/company selected by them for 10 days.

At the request of the student, the faculty will prepare a LETTER FOR APPROVAL
of the operators / traders / entrepreneurs and covering letter to students before
implementing SIEP.

Students will require to register this program by completing REGISTRATION
FORM and submit it to the Coordinator.

If REGISTRATION FORM is submitted by the student during the SIEP runs, this
form shall be mailed to the Coordinator (FSB address).
HOW ????

For all SIEP 1, 2 and 3, student will require to write a DAILY LOG according to given
task.

For SIEP 1 and 2, student will require to write a REPORT according to given format.
(Template provided)

For SIEP 1 and 2, student will require to prepare a VIDEO PRESENTATION to
record/present the activities of 10 days (Format provided).

Make sure your FIELD SUPERVISOR fill the FEEDBACK FORM after all SIEP 1, 2 and
3 are done.

Submit REPORT (hard copy) and VIDEO PRESENTATION (in CD) to ACADEMIC
ADVISOR at 2nd week of 4th semester started. (Follow timeline).

If your ACADEMIC ADVISOR need to clarify/ask, please be prepare for a short
interview.
HOW ????

After completed SIEP 3, student will require to write a BUSINESS PROPOSAL
according to given format. (format provided)

Submit BUSINESS PROPOSAL to ACADEMIC ADVISOR 2nd week of 5th semester
started.

Present using power point in front of your ACADEMIC ADVISOR (template provided)

On the 6th semester, after all SIEPs (SIEP 1-3) are completed, students are required to
OFFICIALLY ONLINE REGISTER SUBJECT EFT 4082.

SIEP course grade will be notified at the end of the semester.
