harvested when dormant and sold without soil around
William Boyer Lower Jr. harvesting trees in the fall. What is bareroot? Bareroot trees and shrubs are ones which have been harvested when dormant and sold without soil around the roots. There are many advantages to buying bareroot products, some of which are: price, diversity of material, ease of transporting and planting. The same guarantee applies as with container or balled plants. Another major benefit of buying bareroot is that we can ship bareroot trees anywhere in the USA. Please keep in mind the bareroot stock has a limited season from March through May. David Boyer Lower arranging trees in the tree cellar. They are available March, April, and May. Apple and pear trees, flowering crabapples, and flowering pear are available as we can dig, from the end of November through December, weather permitting. • Prices, Sizes and Availability subject to change without notice! • Retail customers must make payment on items ordered before shipping. Shipping charges cannot be added until after final package has been weighed. Deposit for confirmation of order must be received within 15 days of acknowledgement of order. • Wholesale orders, with established credit, will not be confirmed until a 30% payment is received. Your order will then be held for pick-up or shipment. Deposit for confirmation must be received within 15 days of acknowledgement of order. • Finance charge on all overdue accounts shall be paid at 1.5% per month (18% annually) until balance is paid in full. • A $25.00 service charge will be placed on all checks returned. • We do accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express Credit Cards. • Picture tag requests must be placed at the time of initial order. • All Grower orders are subject to a 1% Fruit Tree Improvement Tax. PA Sales tax (6%) will be added to all orders shipped within Pennsylvania unless a valid tax exemption form is filed with our office. OUR GUARANTEE We guarantee that our nursery stock will arrive in good live planting condition. If on arrival it is not in such condition, return it to us securely packed within five days, and your money will be refunded. We guarantee that our nursery stock is true to name. If any proves to be untrue to name, and we are so notified during the first fruiting season, we will refill that part of the order without charge, or at our option, refund the part of the purchase price. We agree to replace once, at half price (excluding boxing and freight charges), nursery stock which dies within one growing season from purchase (March-September), if planted and maintained properly. We are not obligated to replace plant material if loss is due to mechanical injury, weather, insect or disease damage, or lack of or improper use of chemicals. All claims must be accompanied by receipt, and plant material upon request. Under no circumstances shall our responsibility exceed the above conditions. We do not guarantee the following: roses, perennials, dogwood, southern magnolia, live Christmas trees, or special sale items.
