Skole liga
Van die middel van Julie tot einde Augustus is Boksburg jukskeibane die plek om
op ‘n Woensdag middag te wees. Dan
vind Oos Gauteng Jukskei Unie se skole
jukskei liga plaas. Meer as 200 kinders
trek dan saam om jukskei te speel en
ook vriendskappe weer op te bou. Dit is
dan ook een sportgeleentheid waar
skole vir leerders met spesiale vaardighede op gelyke grondslag deelneem
teen hoofstroom skole.
Schools league
From mid-July to late August Boksburg’s
Jukskei pitches are the place to be on a
Wednesday afternoon. Eastern Gauteng
Jukskei Union's schools jukskei league is
then taking place. More than 200 children come together to play jukskei and
build friendships. This is one sporting
event where schools for learners with
special skills participate equally against
mainstream schools.

Currently, one of our schools league (and union) players, Clarissa Marais, is included in the SA U/13 Girls

Hierdie jaar koop Oos Gauteng Jukskei Unie se skole
liga ook in by die LTDO en het ‘n spesiale ontwikkelings
afdeling vir ons nasionale spelertjies in wording. Ek
dink soms wens van die groter kinders, en volwassenes, dat hulle ook met die boontjiesakkies, handvatsels
op bottels en uiteindelik klein skeie volgens Aksie Jukskei reëls kan speel.
LTDO
This year Eastern Gauteng Jukskei Union’s schools
league was part of the LTDO and had a special development division for our national players in the making.
I think sometimes some of the older children, and
adults, wish that they could also play with bean bags,
bottles with handles and eventually small skeys according to Action Jukskei rules.
OOS-KAAP
EASTERN CAPE
Op 20 en 21 September 2013 het die Oos-Kaap se
eerste Skole Toernooi op Cradock
plaasgevind. Dit het ook gedien as ‘n gedeelte van die keuring vir die kies van
spanne om aan die 2013 SA Skole Kampioenskap deel te neem.
Skole wat
deelgeneem het was Diaz Laerskool, OosLonden, Cradock en Setlaarspark.
On 20 and 21 September 2013, the Eastern Cape's first
Schools Tournament took place in Cradock.
It also served as a part of the selection process for the selection of teams to participate in the 2013 SA Schools Championships.
Schools who participated were Diaz Primary, East London, Cradock and Settlers Park .
The tournament was a huge success and
the learners enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone involved who made the success of the
tournament possible. A special thanks to
Mr. and Mrs. Erasmus, who took the reins
and helped with the proceedings. Thank
you to aunt Gerty and uncle Schalk for their
hospitality to us in Cradock and for all the
arrangements that they have taken.
Die toernooi was ‘n reuse sukses en die
leerders het dit baie geniet. Dankie aan
elkeen wat betrokke was en die sukses
van die toernooi moontlik gemaak het. ‘n
Spesiale dankie aan mnr en mev Erasmus
wat die leisels geneem het en met die verrigtinge gehelp het. Dankie ook aan Tannie Gerty en oom Schalk vir hulle gasvryheid om ons in Cradock te kon ontvang en
ook vir al die reëlings wat hulle getref het.
Dankie ook aan elke leerder wat betrokke
geraak het, want sonder julle sou die toernooi nie kon plaasvind of ‘n sukses kon
wees nie .
Thank you to every student who got involved because without you, the tournament could not take place or be a success.
The winners in the different categories received prizes. Each participant was a winner and that is why everyone at the end of
the day received a gift bag—something that
will always remind them of what happened
in Cradock—Schools Jukskei history!
Die wenners in die verskillende afdelings
het pryse ontvang. Elke deelnemer was
egter ‘n wenner en daarom het elkeen
aan die einde van die dag ‘n geskenkpakkie kry. Iets wat hulle altyd sal herinner
aan wat in Cradock plaasgevind het—
