offers everything you could want on your special day.
The main area we feature in our brochure is St. Julian's. This area was once a small fishing
village, it is now renowned for its great location and abundance of entertainment options, from intimate bars to
vibrant nightlife. Two nearby bays - Spinola Bay & Balluta Bay boast an array of delightful bars and restaurants,
romantically set over looking the sea. St. Julians or San Gilgan, as the locals would say is only 25 minutes from Luga
Airport. We can also offer weddings in Valletta, Mellehia, Sliema & Naxxar.
You may be surprised to hear that a wedding in Malta is very straight-forward to arrange and a lot more cost
effective than getting married here in Ireland. Furthermore, by letting us assist you with your arrangements, you
can relax and enjoy your big day to the full.

Some Useful Information for your Wedding in Malta:








Civil ceremonies are legally recognised here in Ireland. The local Registrar can perform the ceremony in the
local registry office or in the grounds of your hotel.
Your ceremony will be conducted in English and will last approximately 20 minutes. You may personalise the
ceremony by adding readings or a poem of your choice.
There is no minimum residency requirement, however we recommend that you are there at least 2-3 days
prior to your wedding to complete the necessary paperwork.
Religious ceremonies can only take place in a Church. Religious ceremonies are legally binding provided all
the necessary paperwork is completed.
You should allow at least 6 months for the completion of your Church paperwork. You should contact you
local Priest as soon as you decide to marry abroad to advise him.
For a Catholic Ceremony, shoulders must be covered by the Bride & all female guests.
Paperwork must arrive in Malta at least 10 weeks prior to your wedding date.
If you offer a choice for your reception meal, the hotel must be advised of exact choices 10 days prior to your
event.

Westin Dragonara in the simply stunning Sunken
Gardens. This area is located in a secret garden at the
front of the hotel. Your ceremony will be intimate &
private and you will be surrounded by all the flora and
fauna blooming in the gardens. Alternatively you can
have your wedding ceremony on the equally stunning
Quadro Terrace and your reception in the same area.
The Westin Dragonara offers numerous venues for
wedding receptions. Wedding menus start at €41 per

Quadro on the Reef: This is the most popular
reception venue for Irish wedding couples.
It is an outdoor venue and can cater for up to
55 guests. It is situated away from the main
hotel building along side the other
peninsulas of the Reef Club.
Quadro Restaurant & Verandah: This venue
offer both indoor and outdoor locations for your
wedding reception. It can seat up to 120 guests
at maximum capacity, however there are
options available for smaller groups. We
recommend this venue off season as the rental
fees are decreased significantly.
Quadro Verandah: This unique venue, with its
spectacular Mediterranean back drop is the
perfect location for a dream wedding in Malta.
Quadro's verandah is the only ‘by-the-sea’
location recognised by the wedding registrar
for civil ceremonies.
Sunken Gardens: Set in a private garden at the
front of the hotel, the Sunken Gardens is the
perfect venue for your civil wedding. In the
centre of the gardens, there is a water fountain
and the trees offer the couple and their guests
shelter from the heat of the Maltese sun.

Overlooking the picturesque Mediterranean Sea, this
superb Maltese resort offers and ideal location to
celebrate your wedding. Although the hotel is situated in
a secluded area, it is located a short stroll from the lively
resort of St. Julians Bay and approximately 15 minutes
walk to the quaint fishing harbour of Spinola Bay.
Wedding ceremonies at the Radisson BLU Bay Point can
take place overlooking the sea, on one of the hotels
terraces or at a private gazebo close to the waters edge.

Spain
Getting married in Spain, a land so rich in history & colour, the possibilities for a dream
wedding are endless. The climate is a major factor for couples choosing to get married here. It
varies from near tropical temperatures in the south and the Canary Islands to cool and fresh in
the north.
The most popular Spanish destination for a wedding abroad is the region of Andalusia. Areas here include the
fantastic coastal resort of Mijas, & Benalmadena. Hot days, long nights and an abundance of restaurants and bars
allow couples to celebrate their wedding into the early hours of the morning. For couples travelling with guests,
these areas offer excellent facilities for families with young children.
Of course, in Spain you cannot forget about the Canary Islands as a venue for your wedding. Lanzarote, lying just
60 miles from the coast of Africa enjoys year round sunshine with very little chance of rain! Lanzarote has something
to offer everyone - Natural beauty, local village markets, lots of beaches & plenty of active nightlife.

Some Useful Information for your Wedding in Spain:







There is no minimum residency requirement for Spain, however we recommend you are there at least 2-3
days prior to your wedding.
For a Catholic Ceremony, shoulders must be covered by the Bride & all female guests.
It is not possible for non-residents to have a civil ceremony in Spain. Catholic marriages celebrated in Spain
are registered with the Civil Court and are legally binding.
Spanish ceremonies do not include communion. Normally the ceremonies last approx. 30 minutes.
Your wedding coordinator will introduce you to the Priest upon arrival to finalise details of your ceremony.
All extras such as wedding cars, flowers, music etc. should be booked prior to your arrival in Spain
As photocopies of documentation will not be accepted in any circumstances, you should ensure that you are
submitting original, certified and dated documents according to the legal requirements.

Mijas
Mijas is a magical whitewashed Spanish village with geranium-lined, cobbled streets which nestles
in the Sierras de Mijas mountainside overlooking the coastal resorts of Andalucía. It is just a short
drive from the coast and gives you and your guests a lovely day out with a genuinely authentic Spanish feel. This
venue will make your wedding day an unforgettable experience for you and all of your guests.
The village offers 2 different Churches for wedding couples. One large Church to accommodate up to 200 guests
and the smaller ‘Cave Chapel’ hidden away in the corner of the village that can seat a maximum of 24 guests.

Benalmadena
Benalmadena is a modern & lively resort with
lots of variety for everyone. The beach is long
and sandy and there is an attractive yacht marina
as well as the Torrequebrada casino. With almost
330 days of sunshine a year and easy access from
Ireland, Benalmadena is an ideal choice for a fun
filled, family friendly wedding day.
We work with 3 Churches in the area, the most
popular being the Santo Domingo Church. This is
the oldest Church in Benalmadena built in 1621
and most recently renovated in 1998. The Virgen
del Carmen Church is a more modern Church,
but it still retains its typical Spanish charm inside.

Lanzarote

Lanzarote is located around 60 miles off the coast of
North Africa, it is one of 7 Canary Islands. The
climate is sub-tropical with temperatures around 25
to 30 degrees for the majority of the year. For this

La Caleta Restaurant - The restaurant opens onto a beach and decked area and has a

Zakynthos
Zakynthos, the southernmost of all the Ionian Islands offers wedding couples the best of both worlds. It combines
the modern facilities of vibrant beach resorts and the opportunity to escape from it all on one Island.
We can arrange Catholic, civil and symbolic ceremonies anywhere on the Island including Tsilivi, Laganas
(Cameo Island) & Kypseli. The venues we feature in the brochure are only a small snippet of the vast number of
options available to wedding couples.
We offer standard or All Inclusive wedding packages for our couples. We can also tailor-make any package to suit
each individual couples needs.
Upon arrival in Zakynthos, you will be met by an experienced wedding team who will run through all the final
details of your wedding day. Once this has been completed, you can relax and enjoy the sunshine!
Zakynthos as a destination works well for families as accommodation options include one and two bedroom
apartments. There is also a water park, mini amusement park, mini golf and 8 blue flag beaches which are sure to
keep the little ones entertained. For the adults travelling there are plenty of chic bars & restaurants and lively night
clubs to dance the night away.

Our wedding packages in Zakynthos will vary depending on where you have your wedding and reception. Or
packages range from basic packages to include just the wedding coordination of your day to deluxe All Inclusive
packages including everything you could wish for! Our most popular packages are the ‘All Inclusive Packages’.
These can be changed to suit your requirements.
For Catholic weddings, you must be married in a Church. The Church we feature is St. Markos Church in a
picturesque location in the heart of Zakynthos Town. Your ceremony will take place in English and can be
personalised as you wish. The service normally lasts 35-40 minutes and communion is administered.
After your ceremony, champagne will be served outside the Church to the couple and all your guests. A Horse &
Carriage will then take the newlyweds on a scenic trip to the reception venue where they will meet their guests for
their reception meal.

The Terrazza Martini is the ideal place to celebrate your
wedding reception after your Church ceremony. This venue is
located approximately 5km from the Church so is is quick and
easy for the couple and guests to get from one to the other. It is
directly on the seafront and offers stunning sea views in all
directions.
The package ‘Silver All Inclusive’ package includes the
essentials for your wedding day and can be altered to suit
your needs.
A rental fee is included in the wedding package so you will
have the area privately for your party, however this venue
books up to 2 wedding receptions per day in different
locations. Weddings are not available here on Friday or
Saturday.

Surrounded by Greek atmosphere and lovely landscaping this
is certainly a Mama Mia inspiration. Located on the quieter
end of the island, is one of the popular reasons why most
couples prefer this venue. In the small resort of Kypseli
(outskirts of Tsilivi) this venue is available for both the
wedding ceremony and your reception venue.
This area allows you to enjoy the laid back atmosphere of an
intimate wedding without necessarily needing bow tie/hotel
services.

on the quiet small grass area above the beach or directly on

Cameo is a small island off the Shore of Laganas. The Island is connected to the mainland
by a bridge which the bride will walk over to meet her prince. The ceremony needs to
take place early evening so it can be combined with the reception arrangements. The
ceremony is set slightly above the pebble beach area and then the party can be moved
to a private venue upstairs for the whole evening.

Ayia Napa is renowned for its energetic night life, whereas Paphos is more laid back with fairy lit harbours and cosy
cafes and tavernas.
Both Nissi Bay & Paphos are featured in our brochure. Nissi Bay is located on the outskirts of Ayia Napa. This area is
great for a quiet, relaxing holidays or if you are holidaying with children. Paphos is located on the west of the island
and steeped in an abundance of history. Accommodation in Cyprus is predominantly hotel based, however we can
recommend self catering accommodation nearby.

Set in lush gardens over-looking one of the best beaches
in Cyprus, the Nissi Beach Hotel offers and exotic setting
for your wedding. Here you can have a civil ceremony at
the beachfront or in the hotels gardens followed by your
private wedding reception. If you have a Catholic
ceremony at St. Paul’s Church in Larnaca, you can bring
your guests to the Nissi Beach for an enjoyable evening
overlooking the Mediterranean.

You will have a choice of reception venues here. The
most popular are the Rondavel & Pelican Beach Venues.
These are private venues set away from the main hotel
and only offer a BBQ menu. If you would prefer a full sit
down meal, we can arrange this at the Athena Ballroom
or in the Ambrosia Restaurant.
Rental Fees from €500 will apply for private venues. Menu prices here start at approx €55 per guest plus drinks.

Some Useful Information for your Wedding in Italy:

There is no minimum residency for Rome, however we recommend you are in Rome at least 2-3 days prior to
your wedding.

For a Catholic ceremonies, shoulders must be covered by the bride & all female guests.

It is recommended that you meet with the Priest / Registrar prior to your ceremony to finalise all details.

Civil ceremonies in Italy normally last between 15-20 minutes in a town hall or another venue permitted by
the town hall.

Some civil ceremony venues charge additional costs for out of hours services.

Some reception venues will not allow music after midnight. Please ask us for more details.
Rome
We work with three Churches in Rome. All are different in design and character. The most popular Church for Irish
couples celebrating their wedding is the San Silvestro in Capite Church. This Church is located in the very heart of
Rome, close to the Trevi Fountain making it easily accessible for fantastic wedding photos after your ceremony.
We can also arrange weddings in St. Isadores and St. Patricks Churches. Please contact us for more information on

When choosing the clothing which you or your witnesses will wear during the wedding
ceremony, you should bear in mind that you are expected to dress modestly. Dresses,
which are low cut at the front and the back are not considered appropriate. Guests who
are travelling with you should also be informed of this requirement. Italians dress conservatively in church. The golden rule is 'When in Rome do as the Romans do'. Please
show all due respect for Church regulation in this matter. Guests who dress inappropriately will be asked to wear a light wrap before entering the Church.

Sorrento is located on the Amalfi coast and commands
