The Nonantum’s manicured lawns and gardens make
the ideal location for your wedding ceremony. The
Lighthouse, Stone Bench or Gazebo, with views of
the water, are spectacular on any day.
If weather is an issue, the inside location can be set
in the comfortable style of a wedding chapel.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many guests can the space accommodate?
We can seat up to 175 guests in our Ballroom and River Room and can host up to 250 under a tent
on our back lawn overlooking the river.
What is included in the minimum?
The facility fee, any set-up fees, food & beverage are all included toward the minimum. Tax, service
charge and overnight guest rooms are not included in the minimum.
What does the facility fee cover?
This fee covers the use of the ballroom and 95 Ocean; weddings with at least 120 guests in
attendance will be given use of the River Room at no additional charge. (Please note this does not
apply to tented events.) Weddings with less than 120 guests may choose to have use of the River
Room for an additional facility fee of $500. China, flatware, stemware, and indoor set-up and
breakdown are also covered in the facility fee.
What does the service charge cover?
The service charge covers the gratuity for the wait staff and bartenders working the event.
What are the limitations on decorating?
You are able to decorate however you choose but may not affix the decor to the walls or ceiling with
nails, tacks, tape, or anything that may cause any damage.
Do you have room blocks available for my guests and are the rates discounted?
When you book a wedding with the Nonantum Resort, we automatically give you a block of 25
guest rooms. We hold those rooms until 60 days before the wedding. Since we do not require you to
fill all of the rooms we do not offer discounted rates on room blocks. The block includes a mixture
of room types to accommodate your guests needs.
What time does my reception need to end?
The facility fee covers a 5 hour block of time for the reception. If having the ceremony on-site, an
additional half hour will be allotted. Because of our quiet hours at 11pm, all of our events have to
end by 10:30pm. All event bars will also be closed after the 5 hours.
Where do I need to go to get our marriage license?
Maine residents must apply in the town where they reside. The license is valid in any community in
Maine for a period of 90 days from the date the intentions are filed.
Couples who maintain separate Maine residences, must apply in the community in which at least
one of them resides.
Out of state residents may apply in any municipal office. However, the town of Kennebunkport
issues marriage licenses to couples being married in Kennebunkport only. The license is valid for a
period of 90 days from the date the intentions are filed and is valid anywhere within the state of

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding celebration! The Nonantum Gift
Shop staff is available to help you with gifts for your wedding party,
family members, and other special guests. Just another way to say thank you
to family and friends for being part of your memorable day.
We will happily work with you to prepare personalized baskets or bags
filled with Maine products such as local chocolates, baked goods, jams,
snacks and toiletries. Our wine basket has etched wine glasses along with
a wine of your choosing. Family friendly baskets hold beach accessories,
snacks and games. We have Nonantum ornaments, art work, glassware, greeting
cards and many unique items to help you welcome your guests with true Maine
hospitality.
We will arrange to have your items placed in guests rooms prior to their
