reception.

Booking
CONTRACT AND PAYMENT
Upon confirmation of your booking, a contract will be emailed (or
mailed) for your review and signature to secure your date.
A 25% deposit is required at this time. Please note that the initial
deposit is non-refundable.
The balance of the contract (75%) is due 2 weeks prior to your
wedding date. Event payment may be made by cash, cheque,
credit card, or money order. Promotional gift cards can not be
used to pay for Event invoices.
For all wedding bookings we require a minimum of 30 room nights
(10 room nights for Gernot’s weddings). If the total of required
rooms is not met, the wedding couple will be charged for 1 night
for every room not booked and occupied.
Sparkling Hill Resort requires your guaranteed number of guests 4
days prior to your wedding. We require an up to date preliminary
seating arrangement including the estimated number of guests 4
weeks prior to your wedding date.
Following your event, a summary will be sent indicating the
amount owing or refund due to you, based on final charges.
Payment is required for the amount owing two weeks from the
date of billing.

PLANNING DETAILS
• CEREMONY - We have a breathtaking lakeview Terrace ideal for wedding
ceremonies. Terrace rental is for 1 hour time period. Decor, if required, is the client’s responsibility. Winter months, the Fireside Lounge may be rented for ceremonies.
• DECORATIONS - Decorations are the wedding couples responsibility. Please note the use of nails, staples, glue or any like substance is not
permitted on any walls, doors or ceilings. Decorating times must be
arranged with your Events contact. You may commence decorations at 12 noon the day of your wedding and all decorations must be removed the night of your wedding reception.
• MENU and wine selections must be confirmed 4 weeks prior to the
wedding day.
• BAR SERVICE - We provide your bartender complimentary. We can
tailor a bar service to meet your requirements and budget, whether it be a host or cash bar. The hotel can provide a wine and spirits selection list for you to choose from. If you would like to serve your own wine, a $25 per bottle corkage fee applies for service. Please note: Home-brew wine is not permitted to be served. Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol to your function.
• MUSIC AND BAR SERVICE must close at 1:00 am, however, you may
remain in the room until 2:00 am.
• COUPLES are responsible for their own centerpieces, chair covers
(if required), floral arrangements, additional decorations and table
favours. You are also responsible for hiring a DJ, decorator, photographer, and ceremony officiate.
• CHILDREN up to 5 years of age receive a complimentary kids menu, while children aged 6-12 are charged at half price for food. Individuals aged 13+ pay full charge.
• DANCE FLOOR. The ballroom has a built-in hardwood dance floor. There is a mandatory SOCAN fee of $66.00 (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) for events with music or dancing.
• GRATUITIES AND TAXES. There is 18% gratuity charged on all food and beverage plus 5% GST added to all food and non-alcoholic beverages and 5% GST and 7% PST added to all room rentals. 5% GST and 10% PST is charged on all alcoholic beverages.
• COMPLIMENTARY STAY. Sparkling Hill is pleased to offer the wedding couple a complimentary stay in one of our deluxe lakeview rooms on your wedding night (valid only if estimate is greater than $5000).
