The Silent Auction Items, or their pictures/descriptions, are placed on tables around the room with accompanying bidding sheets and bidding increments. Bidding on various sections of the Silent Auction closes incrementally. Sign Ups/Tours The Sign Ups and Tours are organized group events for which one simply signs up and purchases a spot Ȃ no bidding! Paddle Raise Each year, a much-‐needed capital project to benefit the school is chosen. This year, the project is the refurbishment of the art rooms, which have not been improved for over 25 years! On Auction Night, parents may pledge a contribution in support of this project by raising their paddle. Contributions can be made at various levels. Mad Hatter Raffle $5 chances to win your choice of three great prizes: an iPad2, a Kindle, and Dr. Dre Beats Headphones. Enter to win your favorite prize-‐-‐or, hedge your bets and enter to win all three. You MUST be present for the drawing at the end of the evening to win. Live Auction Raffle Only 100 tickets will be sold, at $100 each, with the winner choosing any Live Auction Package listed in the catalog as their prize. The winner is chosen and selects their prize the day before the auction. You do NOT have to be present at the Auction to win. Online Auction The fabulous online auction closes on Sunday night, May 8th at 10:00pm and will resume on Monday, May 16th. Keep the bidding going and get amazing deals on great items! How to Bid and Buy The SILENT AUCTION will begin at 6:30 p.m. and close incrementally between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. Silent-‐auction items will be described and displayed around the room. Each item or package will have a unique number, and a bid sheet that will indicate the starting bid and the increments by which bids can Ǥ Dz dz instantly win the item and end the bidding. Beginning at 8:00 p.m., the silent auction will be closed in sections. As each section closes, the bid sheets will be collected and the bidder with the highest legible bid will be declared the winner of that package. The LIVE AUCTION will begin at approximately 9:00 p.m. Items will be auctioned in the order listed in the catalog; additional items may also be listed on an addendum to be distributed the night of the auction. The highest bidder, as determined by the auctioneer, shall be declared the purchaser. CONSORTIUM BIDS Many packages in the live and silent auctions are ideal for consortium bids, in which a group of parents teams up to bid on an item. Discuss with your group the maximum amount each of you is willing to pay, and then designate one person to bid on ǯǤ Live Auction Package 1 The Suite Life This is the greatest city on earth...sǯ greatest days and nights ever? She'll also talk about their next collaboration -‐ a multi part series on the history and meaning of the Vietnam War.
