with MS. From my heart, I can’t even express, how thankful and grateful I am to all of
you for your efforts.”

ongratulations on another successful year
of fundraising, fun, and fitness! Manitoba
Liquor & Lotteries was the proud title
sponsor of the MS Walk again this year,
and it was exciting to see so many people of all
ages getting involved. The overwhelming support
from participants and volunteers this year set the
bar at new heights, demonstrating what great things
people can accomplish when they work together.

Jared Funk, three-time Paralympic Medalist, and new member of the Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries IMPACT
Team, was happy to be a part of this successful event. Jared has the opportunity to attend many Manitoba
Liquor & Lotteries sponsored events while promoting the corporation’s community investments in Manitoba
which include countless hours of employee volunteerism, millions of dollars in annual sponsorships, and a long
term commitment to corporate social responsibility in all of its operations and conduct.
“As I wheeled with everyone on the walk, the sheer number of people at this event amazed me,” said Jared. “It
was great to be at a walk where our goal wasn’t to beat an opponent but to collectively beat the disease. It
was very encouraging to see everyone taking an active step in
not only fundraising in the fight against MS but to also raise
awareness. The programs and services provided by the MS
Society of Canada are so important to those who have been
touched with MS.”
Jared knows first-hand how much the support of others can
help lead to success. He has reached the podium three times
at the Paralympics and attributes his success to help from his
family, countless friends, and companies like Manitoba Liquor
& Lotteries, who are integral partners of sport in this province.
Thank you to the team of organizers, the volunteers, and the
participants. Your hard work and dedication ensured the
success of this year’s MS Walk.
