GENERAL TERMS FOR THE HIRING OF FIXTURES AND FITTINGS
Any hiring shall imply the customer’s acceptance of the general terms of hire shown below.
ORDER
Any order, for it to be taken into consideration, shall be made in writing and be accompanied by its payment. The prices shown shall be
understood for the duration of the event (from 1 to 15 days at most), plus VAT.
For any last minute order, please refer to General Sales Terms.
DELIVERY
The material is made available to the customer the day before the event opens. Upon delivery, the lessee shall be the keeper of the rented
material. In the event of refusal of delivered material, partial or total cancellation of the order, this shall remain under the instructing party’s
responsibility and shall be invoiced in full. Any dispute on the quality or quantity of material rented shall be sent in writing within 24 hours
of delivery. Beyond such period, no dispute shall be accepted. Due to constraints connected with availability of stock, with the lead-time,
or more generally with the conditions of performing its activity, GL EVENTS may be led to supply similar material in replacement under the same
terms. Failing a refusal of such replacement material on delivery, the customer shall be deemed to have accepted it.
LESSEE’S LIABILITY
The lessee shall be liable for the rented material, from delivery to return. The material, rented in good condition, shall be used in compliance
with its purpose, and the lessee undertakes to do nothing which might damage it.
The lessee is liable for any damage. The rented material shall be left available to GL EVENTS empty of its content, once the event is closed.
The lessee shall therefore make all arrangements, in particular for removing any items of documentation. GL EVENTS shall not in any
circumstances be held liable for the disappearance or damage of any items not removed from the rented material.
INSURANCE
Risk and loss insurance is mandatory. Refusal to subscribe shall automatically incur the lessee’s full liability in the event of the disappearance or
damage of the material. Theft cover is subject to the provision of a receipt for lodging a complaint with the relevant authorities. Risk
and loss insurance covers the material from its delivery to its return, the day after the event has closed.
DISPUTES
Any disputes, for any origin and cause whatsoever, even in the event of an introduction of third parties or proceedings in respect of any plurality
of claims, shall be decided in compliance with these general terms by the competent Paris Commercial Court.
