Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 8 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest Kasych Family Pavilion Educational Conference Center room 1 Hands-on Skills for the Team Physician This educational seminar is presented by physicians from OAA Orthopaedic Specialists and Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), in conjunction with the certified athletic trainers from LVHN. The course will use a combination of lectures, videos and breakout sessions where participants will get a chance to practice the techniques being taught. This course is limited to the first 40 registrants. Agenda 8–8:30 a.m.Pre-game: Pre-test Overview of workshop Event Planning and Emergency Response Plans Role of Team Physician 8:30–9:45 a.m. Target Audience Physicians and physician assistants who would like to be involved in providing sideline coverage for area sporting events, especially football. This course will give you the tools to be better able to handle emergency situations on-site at sporting events working together with the entire sports medicine team of physicians, physician assistants, athletic trainers and coaches.
