THE PLANNER August 2010 1895 Lincoln Avenue East Meadow, NY 11554 (516) 542-2004 , Fax (516) 542-2005 Email: [email protected] www.fpali.org PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Good Things Coming Now that it‘s the middle of the summer, we will be holding a Board Strategic Planning Meeting. Many of our previous programs and activities will be reviewed and discussed. Fresh ideas are presented and developed for the coming year. But without you, our committees and Board will start going stale. At many different times, committee chairs, past presidents and myself have used our newsletter and the various podiums at FPA events to appeal for your input and help. Many of you have listened and stepped up to the plate. We‘ve been able to branch out and take more innovative approaches. Our new slate for officers and board members will be drawn from those of you who have stepped forward and volunteered your time, ideas and efforts. But we still need new help. We will be offering all of you several opportunities to lend a hand with committee work. A year of committee work is required to join our Board and Executive Board. If you are serving on a committee, please let your chair know that you are ready to move up to the Board or contact our Chapter Administrator, Janet Cino (516-542-2004, [email protected]) or myself (631-366-1999, [email protected]) regarding your interest and availability to serve. Course evaluations indicated an overwhelming majority of attendees liked this new approach to this year‘s Insurance Education Workshop. In addition to the educational opportunities, attendees took advantage of the breaks during breakfast & lunch to network with their colleagues.
