With summer behind us, the Borough and its many partners offer you an attractive array of fall activities. We hope that you enjoyed the summer and the many activities that took place here. More than 800 young people took part in the day camp that ended with the Borough’s family celebration in Parc Central on August 11. On behalf of the Borough Council, I would like to pay tribute to the entire team who worked relentlessly again this year to provide our youth with a high quality recreational program. We appreciate your skills and your dedication. We also thank the members of the celebration’s organizing committee for their valuable contributions. Over the summer, more than 1000 young players experienced soccer fever in our Borough. Many thanks to those who invested volunteer time to motivate and supervise our young people. The summer also saw the implementation of several concrete measures in the environmental field. A roll-out bin for recyclable material was distributed and the new Rose-Cohen Eco-centre located on Pépin Street was opened. We encourage you to recycle! September is also the beginning of another school year. We ask automobilists circulating on our streets to exercise caution. This fall, the police department will increase its efforts to ensure the safety and tranquility of our neighbourhoods. All of our staff and my Borough colleagues, Diane Delisle, Serge Forest and Julien Lachance, join me in wishing you a great autumn!
